(This is what might be the first chapter IF requested of me, and if I feel motivated enough to keep the story going.)

KAGEYAMA'S POV
Today was cold. Like, REALLY COLD!
I had to put on a really thick hoodie, and another hoodie under it!

It wasn't even snowing. Why do I even bother coming here.

Oh yeah. My home life sucks.

It's either go home and face my family forcing me to hunt innocent animals for thanksgiving, or stay out here and sulk like a stubborn child.

And of course I went with the stubborn child route.

I always liked exploring the forest. It was peaceful, and calm. There was a certain spot in it that has a waterfall full of life, but it's cold so the water is probably frozen over by now.

"What to do-..." I sighed.

Mother and Father always said not to go into the forest for to long because of avians. Apparently they can kill you?

They're bird people. People with wings, a tail, and a slightly feathered body, they can learn to speak our language but it sounds a little distorted. They learn to mimic and lure people in, and are vicious and vile creatures according to them.

I heard stories from them about how fathers parents got killed by eagle avians.

I didn't really care, all were jerks, especially my dad. He was so dead set on killing avians to avenge his parents, he's a hunter but I don't understand why he wants to avenge them so bad...

Currently the only thing good going on in my life is my grades. My parents won't even let me play volleyball anymore...

"Honestly whats even the point of liv-" I heard a small raspy noise.

I looked around, before seeing a black patch on the floor with spots of deep red, and pink.

"What is that?" I inched forward to it, I grabbed a stick and poked it. I heard a squeak.

I jumped back, a little startled. I kneeled down and inched forward again.

I reached my hand out and patted the black patch.

It was stiff, slightly fluffy under feathers.

'Wait- feathers?!' I reached under the black patch and tried lifting it, it flinched a little before I heard a louder squeak. I laid down slightly to look under the black feathers.

I saw a splotch of Orangish brown, and the color of skin.

The feathers started moving. I heard a loud squeak, louder than the last one. It sounded like a bird. 'What is this thing?'

The patches of feathers twitched and a painful squeak was heard.

"H-Hey are you okay?!" I blurted out, realizing my stupidity. Whatever it is, it probably doesn't know human dialect.

The feathers jolted away from me, and slammed against a tree.

I could now see what was under them.
