—I couldn't find the artist of this picture, sorry—trigger warning, cursing, blood, abuse————————————————————————

Ash slowly pulled a gun from his pocket, shielding Eiji with his other arm. They could  hear yelling in the distance. Suddenly someone kicked the door of the room they were in,

"OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"

Ash covered Eiji's eyes with his hand and fired a shot through the slim window of the door. Eiji flinched a bit, but he wasn't scared, he knew he was safe with Ash. The man groaned and instinctively shot through the shattered window at them, grazing Eiji's arm.
Ash clenched his teeth and cocked his gun,

"Let's just go, I'm fine." Eiji told him.

He put his gun back in his pocket reluctantly, and motioned Eiji to follow him. They kept running until they finally made it to a window closest to the ground. It was still about 8 feet down, but it was too risky to keep running.
Eiji backed out of the window onto the ledge and Ash followed, the window was old and creaked loud when they shut it. But finally, they could relax for a little. They could hear men still yelling over their heavy breathing,

"We need to go, now." Ash said, still trying to catch his breath.

It was still 8 feet down, but they had to get out of there... Ash lowered himself off the ledge and hopped down, he grunted as he hit the ground. Of all things why was Eiji afraid to jump off of a 8 foot ledge? He heard people coming, so he tried lowering himself down and hopped off. Ouch, his feet stung. Ash grabbed his hand and they started running towards the exit of the alley, with no hesitation they turned the corner and heard close gunshots. Ash pulled Eiji closer as they ran, in fear he would get even more hurt. All of the sudden cop sirens rang, and the men behind them scattered. Ash and Eiji picked up the pace until they made it to a gas station, Ash swung open the door and they headed inside.

"Hi welcome to quick stop." Said a monotone voice behind the counter.
-Shit. Eiji totally forgot this is where sing works.
"Ash," Eiji whispered, "Ash, keep it down, this is where sing works."

Ash's eyes widened,
"The runt finally got a job, huh." He said, motioning for Eiji to come to the back of the store.

"I don't want him to freak out, I mean, you have been "dead" for almost 2 years now." Eiji said following him.

"Uh, yeah I'll explain later.." Ash cleared his throat.
The faint whistling from the cash register started to get closer- shit.
