The flakes of snow along with the nipping cold sent shivers down my spine

The flakes of snow along with the nipping cold sent shivers down my spine. Even though I enjoyed this time of year why'd it have to be so damn cold. Rubbing my forearms from the outside of my fleece coat I stood on my porch watching the snowfall. Heaving out a foggy breath of air I walked down my steps covered in ice, being careful not to fall on my ass. Walking through the powdered ground feeling the temperature on my boots change to a cooler feel. Quickly warming up my hands I reached for my truck door trying to get it unstuck from its frozen ice state.

"Stupid...thing come on."

Stopping to rub my hands together I continued to try the door. Sighing I looked up into the foggy dark clouds above, the feeling of flakes on my face.

"Seriously..."

Looking out to the dark car tracks away from the porch light fading into the wilderness. The gust of a breeze went by me making me shelter my face with my wool glove. 'Is this even worth the work, just for a single gallon of milk?' Sloping my hand on my face in defeat I took my flashlight from my jean pocket clicking it on. Pointing the light towards the tire path, I walked through the snow. 'Well, at least the store isn't so far at least...' Shivering again for probably the 20th time.

"Come on it won't be so bad.....I'll be home in no time.."

Something about me I didn't fear the paranormal, normal wilderness always frightened me more since they were really real. Having to watch out for things like coyotes or moose always gave me a slight fear of being alone in the snowy darkness. 'I'm sure it will be fine, I've done this a million times..'

"It's not like I'm a little girl anymore...come on (Y/N)."

Pointing the light around my surroundings I checked as usual. 'I remember when I used to do this as a kid.' Earning a small chuckle out of myself I had a small smile plastered on my face.
