Just a friend

"Hey Marinette"

Nathaniel said with a smile just as Marinette entered the class.
"Hey, Nath what's up?" Said the designer with a smile.
"I'm fine, I...uh- wanted to show you this". He said shyly. " what's that?" Replied the designer as he stepped forward to show a picture of her that he drew.

"Umm...do you like it?"
"Yes I do, it's wonderful Nath thank you," she said with a giggle while hugging him, he hugged back happily.

Just as Adrien walked into the class along with Nino to see them.
What??? He thought in his mind, what was going on, why is Marinette hugging him?

Wait, why do I even care? She is just a frie-
"Dude...what's wrong?" Said the DJ.
"What do you mean?" replied the model with a surprised face.

"You've been staring at them since we entered". Said Nino pointing at the duo chatting. (Marinette and Nathaniel)

" uh...I...uh-"
"Settle down class and open your books at the next chapter," said Miss Bustier as she entered the class.

"Never mind," Nino said with a smirk.

Of all times Adrien never felt jealous, he just wondered why? He took Marinette as a friend. It was strange, peeking with the corner of his eye, at Marinette. He couldn't help it. That feeling of fury, he was outraged but why? Did he like her but didn't know? Well, who else didn't like her, she was a kind, amazing and brave girl, with beautiful blue eyes and a lovely smile.

Later, Adrien went into his large (probably oversized) room. Plagg getting out to eat his lunch, Adrien was in his bed glaring at the ceiling.

"Plagg, what is happening to me?" He asked his black kwami.

"I would be answering if you are more specific". Said the cat kwami.

" Why did I feel jealous today at school?"

"I don't know but most people feel jealous when their crush is with someone else".

" I don't have a crush on Marinette" replied the blond with a frown. "Neither is she".

" you are too naive Because you don't how school or crushes work"

That was true, he never went to school, all his knowledge came from teenager movies and stories.

"Maybe you are right, I don't know how school work, I used to have a crush on someone who didn't love me....."

"I'm sorry kid" added the kami with an unhappy face."

"Thanks, plagg, Ladybug is waiting for us lets go".

He stopped developing feelings for ladybug as he found it impossible for him to be with her since she likes another boy and she keeps rejecting him.
He took her as his sister now, his partner, one of his best friends.

"Chat?" Said the black-spotted girl.

"Yeah?"

"You have been acting strange, no puns, no stupid jokes, what's wrong with you?"
Although it was peaceful for her, it's not Chat's habit to be distracted.

"Nothing....."

She glared at him with a smirk, as he glared back. But God she had a strong glare.

"Okay I'll tell you but stop staring at me like that" replied the blond.
"I felt jealous at school today" Ladybug stared at him with jaw dropped."Secret crush huh?" she said with a chuckling face.

"I don't know...ther is this girl, in my class, I saw her hugging a boy I felt so jealous I mean it's not like me to feel like that I always took her as a friend".

" Chat listen to your heart, does she like you?"

"How could I possibly know? It's not like I'm reading her mind. How do I know ladybug? I have never been to school before this is my first year and I know nothing."

"Well if someone has a crush on you then she would stutter and stammer around you, be always nice to you, giving you gifts stare at you for a long time I mean it would be pretty obvious."

"That's her behavior around me, I always thought she was mad at me or hate me."

"No, you silly kitty, she likes you"

"Maybe... I should head home and thanks for the advice, night m'lady"

"Night kitty."

Ladybug didn't know that she was the girl that Chat talked about. Hilarious.

Adrian went home, detransforming with plagg buzzing around him.

"That what I thought, the girl likes you"

"What? How did you know?"

"What can I say, my hearing is better than yours, I always hear your friends talking about it, the whole school knows that."

"I'm not sure yet plagg, but I guess I will have to ask."
