Chapter 4-The kids got Guts

I open my eyes slowly as I'm blinded by the sun coming through at full blast from the window.Grrr stupid sun.I really need some blinds or something cause that will be Hell each morning and I'm starving.At least I have a chance to get something now.I slide out of bed and head over to the fridge and grab a pot of instant ramen as I think back to last nights events.

***Flashback***

" so tell me,what is your name?"

"........Emi Sato"

"So Emi what brings you to Konoha at this late hour if I may ask."The Hokage asked while looking at me with his hands held up in front of his face

I slouch in the seat "Well I did come for something to eat,the food the woods provided isn't as good as ramen or even pocky."I murmur while looking at the sleeping village.

"hmm and why are you in the woods,what about your family do you not live with them?"

Well what over reason would there be for a twelve year old to be in the woods.I just look up to him and shook my head silently,moving my gaze from him to my feet trying to make it look like I found them interesting however odd that sounds.It's just I don't like talking about them.I think the Hokage caught wind of this and moved on with his questions.

"how old are you Emi?"

"12,but I could say 12 years and 11 months if I want to be cocky but I woun't." I reply still looking at my feet the whole time.Trying not to look bored out of my mind.It's actually quite hard to do so because the idea to just walk out is really playing on my mind.

I can see from the top of my eye the Hokage sweat drop and raised his eyebrows in a slight twitch.HEHEHE.Got you there slightly didn't I oh ,great and powerful gramps.Unfortunately as soon as his expression came it soon vanished but replaced with his previous "kind old man who's worried about you" one.I decided to lift my head up to meet his gaze with a blank expressionless face once more.

"Well I carn't just let you go back to the woods now can I,what sort of person would that make me."

I think that was a rhetorical question but me being me I decided to say under my breath "Nothing new you'd just be like many people out there that would put their village first before a girl that was dragged into their office and came from nowhere and was no one in particular or of great importance to the village."

I lift my head up slowly and am taken back by his expression.It looks sad and even angry.WHAT THE HELL??My eyes betray me by opening wide for a split second but soon return to my previous expression.Not fast enough tho.I can tell that because the Hokage returns to his kind old gramps expression.Then there's silence for a bit.

"Emi,do you know any Nin,Gen and Ti jutsu?"What a random question.What are you planning old man ? Hmm oh well might aswell go along with your plan and see where I end up.I nod my head and watch as he smiles at me."If you promise not hurt this village or its people that are precious to me,how would you like to become a ninja of the village hidden in the leaves?"

"HU......."

I Was not expecting that.

***End of flashback***

Well you can guess at what I said.

Not a peep.I was to astonished by what he had said but he didn't pay attention or just wasn't gonna take no for a answer.The rest of the conversation went like him saying where I'd stay and that I would have to go to the ninja training school or something like that.I kinda zoned out at that point.Then some ninja named Iruka came in.He's apparently gonna be my teacher...I find him alright I guess.Then once gramps had explained to him he took me to my new apartment,It's alright actually better than what I expected anyways.
