Chapter 3: the trip
Today we go to Connecticut. I lose my phone in California as I am stupid like that. So I am left with nothing but money and food. I guess that is the secret to my happiness on this trip. I go with my friends, he goes with the older kids. Then we go onto the bus. We are driving back when I am sitting 3 rows behind him. Spit ball 1. Annoying part about boys. Spit ball two. Did I mention they were not at me, but a sailing instructor up front? I move up a seat. The bus lurches forward. I land with a large thump. Spit ball 3. I move up one more seat. I am sitting right next to him right now. I am a stalker and very subtle as everybody on the bus can tell. We arrive at the ferry and all of the annoying 10 year olds block everything but we can see each other. We exchange a smile. I melt on the inside but mentally go insane when we exchange a laugh. We stand up at the same time and then i realize I am going to bump heads so I sit back down. That would only happen in my dreams.
I exit the bus with a smile on my face that cannot be wiped off. Then I look back and I see this other girl, petite, blonde and skinny, talking and laughing with him. My heart went from on top of the world to kill me now.
