Avaeah Bowers never wanted to be popular in the small town of Derry, but when your father is the chief and your brother is the school bully; you automatically become well known.
The clock doesn't seem to be moving, and all Avaeah wants to do is to get out of this hell hole known as Derry Middle School. She stares at the clock longingly, desperately hoping for it to speed up, 10 minutes left till summer vacation. She sighs and looks down continuing her science work, she tapped her pen rythmically on her desk out of pure boredom. She angled her head back to the clock, 2 minutes till summer vacation, she grinned widely while fidgeting in her seat. Finally the bell ring, she didn't hesitate to stuff her random pencils and loose papers in her bag and dash out the door into the over crowded hallway. She looked over the sea of heads for the familiar faces of her best friends, the Losers club. She spots Bills golden hair from a distance, while pushing through the crowd straight to his side "hey Bill, Rich" she said in acknowledgement throwing her arms around her two best friends, while ruffling Eddie's hair "Come on Ava you ruined my hair" Eddie's whiny voice responded, while he desperately tried to fix it "h-hey Ava, w-we w-were just t-t-talking about S-stanley's B-b-bar M-mitzvah" Bill, the leader of the group answered "Actually I was wondering, how does that work?" Avaeah said weirdly, Eddie opened his mouth to explain but quickly decided against it "They slice the tip of his dick off" he summed up "But than he'll have nothing left" Ava said jokingly, and Stan caught up with them "hey guys" Stanley said breathing heavily "Hey Stanley, what happens at your Bar Mitzvah?" Ava said, while silently hoping they won't slice the tip of his dick off "yeah, I think the Rabbi's gonna pull down your pants, turn to the crowd and say where's the meat" Richie said, with his usual Dirty humor; they all rolled there eyes at his childishness "actually at my bar mitzvah, I read from the Torah then I make a speech and suddenly I'm a man" Stan said proudly "I can think of funner ways to become a man" Richie mumbled "Richie leave him alone, Stan your going to be amazing" Ava said softly, this is one of the many time her maternal side shows "thanks Vee" Stan said, switching to his childhood nickname. "Oh shit" Eddie mumbled "w-what?" Bill said anxiously, they all turned; Henry Bowers was leaning on the wall with his so called friends, when they passed him he glared but didn't do anything which surprised Ava, but she knew it was to good to be true. "Do you think he'll sign my yearbook?" Richie said jokingly, Ava rolled her eyes "yeah, dear Richie sorry for taking a hot steamy dump in your backpack last March, have a great summer!" Liv said, with false enthusiasm; they all laughed, and they opened the doors to the school dramatically, stepping out; they stopped at the garbage cans to dump there bags "best feeling ever" Ava said in relief, throwing her now empty bag onto her shoulder "yeah? Try tickling your pickle for the first time" Richie said, "gross" she says wrinkling her nose in disgust "sorry vee" he said guiltily, they all looked at him in shock; if there is one thing Richie never does, is apologise but he seems to have a soft spot for her. There was an awkward silence "what do you guys wanna do tomorrow?" Eddie said breaking the tension "I start my training" Richie said seriously, Ava smirked knowing exactly what he was talking about "wait what training?" Eddie said stupidly "street fighter" Richie said, while smirking "is that how you wanna spend your summer? In an arcade?" Eddie said incredulously "beats spending it in your mother, oh!" Richie said, putting his hand up for a high five from Stan, but Stan put his hand down "how about we go to the Quarry?" Stan suggests, they all agree besides Bill "g-g-guys w-we have to g-go to t-the b-b-barrens" Bill said "right" Ava said awkwardly. Eddie turned around, and everyone followed his line of sight "Betty Ripsom's mom" Eddie said sadly "is she really expecting to see her come out of the school?" Stan said weakly, it took a moment for anyone to respond "yeah it's as if Betty's been hiding in Home Ec. for the past few weeks" Eddie responded, while his voice cracked "You think they'll actually find her?" Ava said, already knowing the answer "sure, in a ditch all decomposed covered in worms and maggots, smelling like Eddie's mom's underwear" Richie said jokingly "Richie, stop that's disgusting" Eddie responded "s-s-she's not d-dead s-she's m-missing" Bill said anxiously "yeah and she'll be home soon, and he will too" Ava said comfortingly, referring to Georgie as he, there was a bit of silence after that; you know the Barrens aren't that bad who doesn't love splashing around in shitty water?" Richie said sarcastically, finally turning away from Mrs. Ripsom, and walking away from the garbage cans, the rest followed. But they were stopped short by someone yanking Richie back into Stan, and they both fell onto the pavement "nice frisbee Flamer" the voice of Henry said, snatching Stans kippah and throwing it, but Ava quickly caught it and stuffed it in her pocket. "Avaeah I told you to stop hanging out with these losers" henry said glaring at Bill, "screw you Henry" she said menacingly; he walked forward most likely to hurt her, but Richie stepped in front of her protectively "move it Tozier" Henry snapped at him, but Richie stayed put "So hen how would dad feel about you trying to hurt my friends?" Ava said, stepping out from behind Richie, nudging her head towards dad's car parked not to far behind "hi dad!" She called sweetly over to him, Henry backed off "you got a free ride this year because of your little brother Denbrough, rides over, this summers gonna be a hurt train for you and your faggot friends" he said angrily "wow Hen didn't know you were friends with him" she said angrily; he glared and marched off. "Wish he'd go missing, no offense Ava" eddie said "none taken" she responded, "he's probably the one doing it" Stan said. They continued there walk home, Stan, Ava, Eddie and Richie walking up front while Bill walked alone, more quiet than usual, Ava decided to go speak to him but remembered Stans Kippah in her pocket "Hey Stan here's your Kippah" she said quickly, relief washed over his features "thank you Ava" he said happily, she nodded and walked towards Bill "bill are you okay?" She said softly, furrowing her eyebrows in concern, he hesitated "I'm f-fine A-ava" he said reassuringly, she didn't believe it but didn't want to push him "okay Bill, but if you ever need anything I'm right here" she said maternally, he smiled gratefully "I know V-v-vee t-t-thank you, Its n-n-nice knowing I c-can always c-c-count on y-you" he said happily "always" she reassured, he hugged her out of pure happiness "t-thank y-you V-vee" he said gratefully "f-for e-everything" he finished "your welcome" she said, smiling softly; at the front Richie watched them hugging in jealousy, while Eddie and Stan shared knowing glances.AN: hey!
