chapter 2

"percy!" estelle yelled,running Up to hug her older brother

"hey estelle" he said,happily accepting her embrace,holder for about 10 seconds,the releasing to go into the kitchen and talk to his mother and step-father

"hey,perce. good to see you again" said paul. 

estelle walked into the kitchen and noticed something she didn't see before:a long,deep red closed wound under his eye

"what happened" she asked,pointing to it

"oh,some A-hole with a knife tried to mug me on the way here. it's fine. only took,like,2 bucks. i'm gonna go get our bags"

"our?" estelle asked

"oh,yeah,forgot to mention,annabeths coming to"percy says. "yessss" estelle responds,doing a sort of fist-pump movement. she liked annabeth. she was smart,and she would usually quiz estelle on her greek mythology,which she was pretty good at. Estelle knew they'd been since they were sixteen.

five minutes later annabeth and percy had all their bags out of their car and had gotten settled,they engaged in dreaded small talk,while annabeth gave estelle her usual mythology quiz

"alright,five questions.number 1:who is the god of healing"

"easy. Apollo."

"(bad buzzer impression) wrong. it's apollo's son,asclepius. apollo is the god of medicine"

"seriously?come on!"

"question 2:who is the god of death"

"had..wait,no,he's the god of the dead. the god of death is thanatos"

"yes,very good.question 3:who is deadulas's son and how did he die"

"icarus,and he died when he flew to close to the sun,causing the wax on the golden wings he and his father were using to escape the labyrinth to melt,and he plummeted nto the sea and drowned"

"you know,I know a little bit about greek myths myself." percy said.

"then by all means,take over"

"okay. question four:what were the giants"

"twelve large spawns of mother earth,geia,created to destroy the twelve olympians. in order to kill one you needed the combined powers of a god and a demi-god"

"(bad 'ding ding ding' sound effect) correct.question 5:what is a demigod"

"a demigod,or half-blood, is a human born to someone who,for lack of a better term,hooked up with a god,most were children of the three eldest gods,zues,poseidon,and hades"

"correct. four out of five"

"percy,annabeth,estelle,dinners ready."

after the cassorole dish of lasagna was empty,sally whipped out a pan of her famous blue cookies

"so,whats the deal with all the blue food we eat around her"

"well,my stupid stepfather-" "dad?" "no,my first stepfather,a smelly A-hole named gabe,said that there was no such thing as blue food. since he said that,me and mom have gone out of our way to eat as much blue food as possible"

"ha"

after the cookies were gone,percy asked estelle if she wanted to play some video games,earning an eye roll from annabeth

"sure,what games do you have"

"um,there is this one game,assasins creed,that takes a lot of insperation from greek mythology. or we could just play minecraft"

"minecraft. duh"

"okay,then"

after booting up their old world estelle said "by the way,i've made some...improvements"

"what the heck?is that a dragon egg?and a nether star?when i last left,we had,like,stone tools and lived in a dirt hut"

"like I said,improvements"

after about two or three hours sally yelled "estelle,time for bed"

"ugh,fine"

after estelle was showered and dressed,she hopped into bed and fell asleep in under 30 minutes

thats when the nightmare started

she dreaed she was being chased by a bi black dog the size of a bear. then percy appeared next to her and said,ot to her but to the dog,"leave her alone. she has nothing to do with this. it's me you want" then to her "keep running. don't stop. don't look back"

she ran

and shee looked back. and percy was gone. then the dog looked at her,snarling and drooling. then it lunged

and then she woke up

but she could have sworn she was still dreaming because she heard annabeth say "when are you going to tell her"

"when she's ready" said percy

"she's ready now" 

"i just...I can't. I don't need her worrying about me to"

"either you tell her,or I do"

"fine,i'll tell her tomorow"

estelle went back to sleep,wondering what was so important it had to be hid from her,and wether or not the dreams would continue.
