Stake in the heart

A/N: I know this first chapter is slow but I promise it will get better.

Friday, early evening:

Normally I wouldn't have been caught dead at a party.

Exspecially Drake Brooks party.

But my best friend Lucy, just has to have a crush on this sick man.

Well, she is only human... And I couldn't tell her what happened years ago.

I sat there trying to stay calm as Drake kept glaring at me. I knew this look the second he looked at me.

Just with his eyes, he was telling me to not do anything stupid.

Sadly I have seen those eyes before. But instead of a warning glare from a enemy, it was a friend trying to keep me safe.

*flash back*

I stood there with an uncontrollable anger. Unable to move, all I could think about was how could she do this to me?

Ashley was my best friend. But then she went behind my back and tries to kill me so her family may overthrow the kingdom.

The only thing that kept me from killing her was Drake's calm eyes letting me know he was there to help me till the end...(or so I thought.)

That was 4 years ago. Before the fight between our families that made us enemies. We were suppose to get married but his mother and my mother disn't agree on any subject. So that started to cause confict between us.

*end of false back*

Lucy being "mad in love" jumped up off the couch next to me tries to calmly walk over to Drake.

I sigh, and listen in on them.

"hey!" I hear lucy's high pitched voice over the music.

He slowly looks at her with his sorrow filled eyes. "Hey" I hear the voice of the man that I fell in love with many years ago.

I glance at him and sence that he has been looking at me for awhile. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the stupidest grin on his face.

I quickly look away.

I decided I would go upstairs and enjoy the sweet sound of silence.

I smile standing up and start walking to the stairs. "Maybe Lucy can keep him busy till this party is over" I say to myself walking up the stairs.
