Asahi x OC

My first friend?

I sat outside still thinking to myself, but at the very least it was relaxing considering what had happened inside. I stood up about to go back in, only for a door to nearly hit me straight in the face.
"That could've hit me you jerk" I said backing away from the door
"O-oh sorry but um I just wanted to apologise for what I said back there..." Asahi said rubbing the back of his neck
"It's fine, I'm sorry for pushing you down back there.." I mumbled looking away
"U-um n-no don't apologise its my fault-" He said really quickly
"Just shut up already, look we both are responsible alright?" I said looking up at him crossing my arms
"I-I guess so." He said smiling awkwardly

I walked past him and went back inside only to get a couple stares from the others which made me feel annoyed. I walked over to Suga and gave him a brief smile as a thank you and then sat down on the bench.

Practice was now over so I got changed and went to go get some food with the others, preferably meat buns.
"I'm glad you decided to come with us Byoto" Suga said to me
"It's no biggie, plus I'm hungry sooo..." I said looking at him
"Oh and by the way meat buns are on you" Suga said making me sigh
I walked into the store and bought some for me, Suga, Daichi, Kageyama, Tanaka and Hinata. I came back out the store and gave Daichi the bag considering I already took one for myself.
"Thanks Byoto!" Hinata said a little to loudly
"Oh um it's fine.." I said now about to leave
"Why are you already leaving?" Hinata asked
"Because I don't like to hang around people?" I said now leaving

I got home and immediately went to sleep.

*fast forward to when they go to Tokyo to practice with the other teams*

We were in the middle of playing Fukurodani and surprisingly we were winning which was nice so I probably wasn't gonna get switched in considering I was classed as 'the last resort'. Well we were winning for the most part but as always Fukurodani rises to the occasion with their ace.
"That ace is something to watch for" Suga said still keeping his signature smile
"I'm actually for once hoping we can push back" I said giving a short smile
"It seems we just might, but I have a feeling somethings gonna happen" Suga said observing the court
"I'm hoping you're both right and wrong" I said now feeling anxious
"They seem to work more as a team then rely on their ace, which isn't surprising for them" Suga mumbled

We fought hard and greatly.... annnnd still lost unsurprisingly but who cares honestly, other then Hinata and Kageyama- We ran up the hill
As usual but this time Asahi didn't bump into me, and yes I still remember that.
I got to the top of the Hill and sat down at the tree I usually sit at, whilst drinking some water, I looked up after seeing a shadow appear over me and turns out it's Asahi
"What do you want Asahi?" I mumbled
"O-oh nothing I just thought I would hang out with you for a bit-" Asahi said trying not to come off rude
"You could've just said that Asahi, I'm not that bad" I said rolling my eyes
"I know, I know sorry.." Asahi exclaimed
I looked away feeling awkward but at least Asahi was nice enough to sit next to me. We talked about things we had in common and turns out we both like a lot of the same things such as our taste in music, food preferences but when it comes to movies um let's just say Asahi doesn't take horrors well...

We got back into the Gym and watched Nekoma start playing against one of the other non-memorable teams NOT TO BE SHADY😻
The day was now over and we only won one game so- I sat with Asahi but surprisingly Nishinoya wasn't here because instead he was stuffing his face.
"So what's something you fear Byoto?" Asahi asked making me a little shy
"I... um... I fear thunder and lightning" I said embarrassed
"Oh I wasn't expecting that but either way that's cool" Asahi said making me feel more comfortable
"So what about you Asahi?" I asked already knowing the answer
"I fear losing matches of volleyball.." He said really unsurprisingly
"I was expecting that answer, but thanks for telling me anyway" I said rubbing my neck awkwardly
We continued to chat and honestly I feel like I finally made a friend other then Suga but we don't really talk that much so I don't class him as one, yet Asahi can actually hold a conversation with me. Maybe this is a new beginning for me.
