I had goosebumps running down my back. It was a feeling so surreal, I didn't know how to describe it. Holding my groceries I made my way up to the house. All the while pushing that unnerving feeling aside. My parents had taken Niva and Noah to Sunday school practice, which left me with the responsibility of grocery shopping. I was to meet Nathaniel later on that night, so Ria happily agreed to look after the kids. Reaching the front door I heard my older sister talking with someone. It was then that I heard Nathaniel's voice coming from the lounge. Not sure why I panicked, but I did and decided to quicken my pace. Making my way to the lounge I noticed my sister leaning towards Nathaniel. I plastered a fake smile on my face and put one leg in front of the other.

"Hey hun, when did you get in?"

Nathaniel glared at me.

"I got in almost half an hour ago."

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming over? I would've waited for you."

"What? And miss the honor of meeting your sister?"

I looked at my sister, and knew that something wasn't right. It would've been an understatement to call it a gut feeling. She stood up.

"I was just getting to know Nathaniel when you so rudely interrupted our conversation."

I wasn't buying any of it. She wasn't the type to sit and 'chat'. It wasn't her style. When she wanted to ruin someones life, she wanted to do it with a 'bang'.

"Can you give us a second? I need to speak to Nathaniel alone!"

It was like she'd been waiting for me to say something, before she got up, and kissed Nathaniel on the cheek, and as seductively as she could, she said

"It was nice to finally meet you Nathaniel. We should do this again some time"

I waited till she'd completely disappeared from sight when I turned and came face to face with a furious looking Nathaniel. To say I was taken aback would be a joke. I cleared my throat nervously and waited for it.

" Who is Iakopo (Jacob)?"

Left stunned by his random question I could do nothing but stare at him. Never have I seen him so angry.

"What? You can't answer me?"

"The only Iakopo I know of is from Loku. The Band leader. What is going on?"

"Who is he to you?"

"I don't understand what you're getting at babe"

"No? Let me speak more plainly then. Are you seeing him behind my back?"

What in the world! I knew who was behind all this but I couldn't help but feel anger towards Nathaniel for believing that liar.

"Who told you that?"

"The messenger is not important"

"LIKE F#¥$ THEY'RE NOT! WHY YOU PROTECTING THEM?"

Nathaniel was fuming but then so was I. How dare he protect her. How dare he think I'd ever cheat on him.

"Yes or no? Why can't you give me a straight answer or is it because you can't come up with a lie fast enough?"

I stood staring at him eyes blazing. He stepped back making a degoritory laugh.

"Forget it. I'll just go and congratulate the lucky guy myself."

He grabbed his keys and walked out the door, revving his engine and speeding out of the driveway heading towards the church. Adrenaline hit forcing my feet to move. Church was a 15 minute walking distance from the house and thank goodness I wore joggers cause without thinking I was already sprinting towards church praying for God's Help.
