CHAPTER I

Mother says that the world is nothing but a dark and regretful place, I try to disagree, but I had a dark feeling she was correct. Though I had never been far from home, I wanted to explore. The great open world would be my playground and the nature would be the slides, monkey bars, etc....

"Naomi, come along, we mustn't keep your father waiting now." My mother exclaimed, while putting on an expensive pair of shoes on, that I did not remember my father buying.  "He will be infuriated if we leave him waiting for too long."

"I'M coming mother," I yelled back in response, "I just need to grab something first." To BE honest I took no interest in attending this meeting between my father and the king. My father is a noble man, who had gotten his money from his mining business. My father was a strict, but kind man, he knows no bounds when It came to making his visions come true, He loved mother and I. Though, I did not find my mothers love anywhere near truthful and heartful. My mother was and still is a greedy woman ,who is deceiving and devious. Father has now become ill, and he requested me to marry the man I have come to now sit in front of.

"Your majesty, King Theo of North & South Brooke", spoke the King's Advisor "the guest have arrived"

A tall, muscular, old man had strolled out a big office. "Good afternoon, Viscount Colbourn," he spoke in a deep voice "I will be with you in a moment." He had turned to his advisor and quietly whispered something in his ear. When the king turned back to us, the advisor had turned and walked up a hall of stairs.

My mother had opened her mouth to say, "Your majesty, have you meet my daughter?" the king had turned to me and gazed upon my green and gold infused eyes. "Isn't she beautiful?"

I stared nervously, the king was muscular, very muscular.

"She is beautiful." he replied

My mother could not keep her mouth shut, she felt that if she could gain favor of the king, she would be invincible. She would think the people would bow down to her feet and treat her with respect out of fear. Though, my mother is wrong, if I do marry the king's son, I will completely show her true nature and cut her out of my life completely. Why, you may ask? Because she treats the people I care about like puppets.
