"Uncle Lupin!" I yelled from my room "yes Lyra" Uncle Lupin asked "what if I don't get into Gryffindor?" I asked nervously

"Lyra, it doesn't matter what house you get into" he answered, he hugged me and kissed my head "Don't forget your jumper darling" he said handing me my favorite jumper, it used to be my father's

"Uncle Lupin?" "Yes dear" "is dad coming to visit next holiday?" I asked while packing

"Yes he is, now you're all done packing, let's get to the platform" he said and shrunk my luggage and put it in my bag, i thanked him and he apparated us to the platform

"Bye Uncle" i said and we hugged "bye dear", i got on the train and found an empty compartment "hi, can we sit here?" A girl asked, she was rather beautiful

"Yes of course" i said with a smile, she sat next to me then two boys walked in, one who I recognized too well, i started to tense up at his stare

"I'm Hermione Granger" she said and i smiled weakly "Lyra Lupin" i said "whoa, I didn't know Professor Lupin had a daughter" Harry said

"He doesn't, I'm his niece" i said "oh I'm Ron Weasley" the red head said "nice to meet you" "wait so, if you're Lupin's niece, do you know Sirius?" Harry asked

"Y-no" i said tensing up, they kept asking questions, "stop! You're attacking her with questions! Let her breathe" Hermione said, i thanked her and she hugged me

"Oh we're here!" Ron said, i smiled and walked out, i smiled and saw McGonagall, i smiled wider and walked to her, she gave me a hug "i missed you" i said, she nodded

"As did i" she said, she walked me to where the teachers ate "Auntie" "yes dearie" "am i going to be with the 3rd years?" I asked, she smiled down at me and nodded

"Lyra Lupin" Dumbledore said, everyone gasped and i stepped up, they put the sorting hat on and we waited

"Another one, hmmm, many secrets fill you, cunning yes, brave, loyal, a thirst to prove yourself, kind, intelligent, hmmm very peculiar"

"Any...preferences?" The hat asked "no, i shall be sorted where you think, where you place me shall be my house" i said and i felt the hat smile

"Very interesting indeed, everyone has a preference, but not you, you indeed do not care which house you are placed in, much like your mother"

I smiled at the mention of her "you met her once I believe, she was quite an extraordinary woman, just like you ought to be, better be...SLYTHERIN!!"

I nodded and looked at the teachers, my uncle nodded and i made my way to the Slytherin table, i sat next to a boy with raven hair

"Lupin? Never knew there could be another" "I'm his niece" i said and started eating, the prefects showed us to the common room

I looked around in awe of the emerald green embedded in almost everything "thought Lupins were supposed to be Gryffindors" someone said, i turned around and scrunched my nose in disgust

"That smirk doesn't suit you" i said and almost everyone turned to look at both of us "he's perfect!" A girl beside the blonde boy said "hm? Sorry all i heard was a screech" i said and girls and boys started laughing

Even the blonde one let out a chuckle "I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy" he said "well Draco, you look like an interesting bloke" i said and people gasped while he grinned

"But then again, I'd rather be around...actually interesting people" i said with a grin and he seemed shocked "now if you'll excuse me i have people to meet" i said and walked out

I walked to my Uncle's room and knocked "come in" he said, i walked in "hi uncle" "darling!" He said and hugged me "i can't believe I'm a Slytherin" i said "well we can't all expect to be the same, i think you're a Slytherin because you don't have much cares" he said

I chuckled and nodded in agreement, i went back to the common room and only found Draco on the couch

"Hello again" he said, i sat next to him and all we did was talk and laugh and fool around, we messed around and made fun of each other until we fell asleep on the couch together
