"I love a happy ending" Aro said smiling wide at Demetri and Alyssa. "This is why you asked Ally to come here with us, because you knew she was Demetri's mate" Caius said looking at Aro who nodded at him "Now the 'she's family' comment makes sense" He added smiling. "I didn't want to say anything at the time as Alice's visions are subjective and I wanted Marcus to confirm the mate bond between them" Aro responded. "I'm guessing Ally has accepted that she is Demetri's mate and vice versa?" Carlisle asked. "Yes Carlisle, that's correct. I just want to thank you for bringing her with you. I'm so happy I got to finally meet my mate" Demetri replied smiling and looked down at Ally, who just smiled up at him. "You're welcome Demetri. Letting Aro know about Alice's vision regarding you and Ally was the right thing to do, after all she is your mate and keeping you apart would be wrong" He responded smiling. "How do we tell the others? I mean Bella wasn't happy when she found out Dem was taking me out on a date?" Ally asked concern clear in her voice. "Together cara mia. We'll tell her and the others together" Demetri replied wrapping an arm around her pulling her into his side.

The following morning Demetri and Ally tell the Cullens and the Volturi that they are mates and it does not go entirely to plan. "As some of you are aware Alyssa and I have spent quite a lot of time together over the past week and during this time together I have discovered Alyssa is my mate" Demetri said looking around the room; "WHAT? NO!" Bella yelled. "You're joking right?" Rosalie asked clearly annoyed. "No. It's true. I saw it and they were happy together" Alice answered. "So that's why you invited my sister here, so she could meet him?" Bella replied words dripping with venom. "They're mates Bella, you can't keep them apart" Carlisle answered. "He wouldn't know they were mates if you hadn't bought her here" Bella shouted back punctuating certain words to prove her point. "This has nothing to do with you Bells. I have accepted Demetri as my mate and nothing you say is going to change that" Alyssa shouted back. "I think it's great news that Demetri found his mate after being alone for so long" Felix added smiling, the twins nodding in agreement. "You would say that. If you ask me Ally deserves better than some 1000 year old man whore of a vampire" Emmett commented before he dropped to the floor in pain, Jane smirking. "I haven't had as many lovers as you may think actually" Demetri interjected, trying to stay calm. "Jane" Aro nodded in Emmett's direction "Master" She blinked; Emmett fell forward as the pain stopped. Edward moved beside Bella "Think about this Ally. He is a Volturi guard and feared by many of our kind. He also has a reputation for being..." He was cut off before he could finish; face contorting in pain and he dropped to his knees. Jane was smirking again.

"You have no right to judge him! You don't even know him! None of you Cullens do!" Ally sounded angry now, Demetri wrapped his arm around her pulling her into his side and placing a kiss to her temple. "You don't know him either hunny. They eat humans by the way and last I checked you were human" Rose added with an attitude. "I know more about him than any of you and I have forever to continue to get to know him" Ally retorted. "You know they invite humans to tour the castle and then eat them right? They tear families apart. Is that someone you really want to be with?" Bella shouted stepping closer to Ally "You guys are no better! You tear families apart too, the difference being you kill woodland creatures. I mean come on Bells you cried when Bambi's Mom got shot and now you're eating deer to survive" Ally countered; Jane, Alec and Felix couldn't help laughing at this, Demetri feeling proud that Ally was holding her own. "Wow! You did not just compare us to them!" Rose yelled "We're nothing like them!" "Enough!" Caius yelled "Demetri and Ally are mates and you cannot keep them apart as it would be cruel and hurt them both. You of all people Bella should understand that... after all Edward did leave you for six months did he not?" He smirked at her "Is that not how you first met us? Hmm" He was still smirking "Caius, brother that is...a little unfair...I'm sure Bella doesn't wish for her sister to be unhappy" Aro said in his sickly sweet voice. Bella said nothing, just continued to glare at Demetri and Ally, if looks could kill...
