El's POV,
The melody of the song that is played by someone from this coffee shop is really calming, suits my mood very well. It was eleven in the evening yesterday when I receive a text message from my Tito that he want to meet me for something important but I don't think its an important matter anymore. I keep hearing his announcement and I'm used to it. Oh! Speaking of.
Tumunog ang pinto nang may magbukas niyon. A man wearing a formal attire come in and head towards where I am. Ngumiti ako upang batiin sya pero hindi na ako tumayo, umupo din naman sya at may ipinatong na kung anong brown envelope sa mesa.
"Am I hearing again the same words Tito?" Agad kong tanong, I have an idea of what was he's going to say but according to his facial expression, it doesn't bother him. "I told you to just quit finding a school for me, we all know very well that no one would accept an unwanted person like me." Napabuntong hininga nalang ako matapos kong sabihin iyon. It has two years already pero mukhang hindi yata talaga ako tinitigilan ng tadhana.
"Hear me out first." Binuksan nya ang envelope at inilapag sa harap ko ang laman niyon. The first word I saw the moment I laid my eyes on it, is 'silverious'. Kinuha ko iyon at sinimulang escan ang front page.
"That school was established years ago but unfortunately they encountered financial problem along the way that is why some of their students pull out and took the life of the school but they still managed to run the school despite of what happens." Paliwanag nya, napa smirk nalang ako ng marinig ang sinabi nya.
"Tss, even a school becomes unwanted?" It is definitely not a question, it's a fact.
"It took me a while before I could find a school for you, but what's important is that you can already finish your study." Malawak ang ngiting wika nya. Tito Daniell is a hotshot business man in the country, and me? I am just a no good btch who can ruin his reputation any moment.
"Tito--"
"No more excuses this time El, you know that I had hopes for you." He butt in before I could finish my sentence. "The accident that has happened two years ago does not make you stop from living." Dugtong pa nya, napayuko nalang ako .
"We all know that, that accident becomes the biggest virus in my life Tito and I don't know what vaccine should I need to inject in me to cure the disease it gaves me," Here I go again, ang pinaka ayoko ay ang binabalikan ang pangyayaring sumira sa dalawang taon na lumipas sa buhay ko.
"But you can start finding the right vaccine now, hindi pwedeng hindi ka kikilos to find an answer, you cant move on without taking a step." Napatango ako sa sinabi nya, alam ko sa sarili ko na tama sya. "And this oppurtunity is your first step for you to the find the right medicine for you, maybe it is not the best school in the county but it can be the best school for your first step."
Hindi ko na nagawang sumagot dahil baka magsimula lang akong umiyak. "I have already settled your enrollment, all you have to do is to study hard and find what you want to find, I have to go I still have meetings today, I am wishing you good luck El." Sa wakas ay nagawa kong iangat ang ulo ko, pinilit kong ngitian sya. Tumayo na sya at inayos ang brown suit nya.
"By the way, it is a dorm school, so you need to pack your things tonight para maihatid kita bukas, understood?" Muli nyang tanong, tumayo ako dahil nakakangawit sa batok ang tumingala, again I force a smile and noodded.
"Okay bye for now, see you tomorrow."
With that he left. My eyes were glued at the entrance where he get out.
'I really wish I could find something their, Tito...'
