Shouto

"Hello dear." An unknown figure calls to me.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Soon my dear, soon." The voice said.

"Do I know you?" I said trying to get a glimpse, a feature, something, anything to tell me who this person is.

"Not yet, but you will." The figure said as they turned to face me, but all I saw were a pair of piercing blue eyes.

"Wait!" I tried to say before being woken up by my alarm.

*Beep Beep Beep!*

'Another dream huh?' I asked aloud. This hasn't been the first time I've had this dream either.

'It's our mate.' Maximus says.

"I don't know Max." I told my wolf as I head to the bathroom to get ready.

'And I'm telling you, it is her!' Max growled out in my head.

"We'll see Max, I've been eighteen for a year now... If she's out there shouldn't we have found her already?" I asked him. "Besides, I haven't felt a pull yet either," I added.

'In time Shouto... I know she's out there, she's reaching out to us. Also, you've been cooped up in the packhouse, so no shit you have't felt a pull.' Max scolded me.

Before I had a response I heard a knock at my door.

"Come in." I said to whoever was on the other side.

"Good morning Shouto." My mother said as she peeked into my room.

"Good morning mom." I greeted back.

"Food is ready dear, why don't you join us for breakfast?" She says with a smile.

"I'll be down in a few minutes, I just have to finish getting ready," I say back. She gives me a hum in response before exiting my room.

I got down to the dining hall to see that it was already bustling with life. Pack members were chatting amongst themselves and eating. I found that my sister had saved a spot for me right next to her, so I took my seat and started to make myself a plate.

"Sooo Shoutooo ~" My sister starts, this was not what I wanted to hear first thing in the morning. She was up to something and I wanted no part in it.

"What is it, sis?" I asked cautiously.

"Well, I was wondering if you found your mate yet, you know that the haze is coming and you at least need a reliable fuck buddy." She says nonchalantly.

"Fuyumi! I don't need you to talk about these things at the dining table!" I said almost choking on my food. "Besides, that's none of your business," I added with a glare.

"OK! OK!" She said raising her hands in submission. "But as our future Alpha, you need to be in tip-top shape you know. An Alpha needs their Luna. You of all people should know this, a dysfunctional Alpha means a dysfunctional pack." She adds.

I sigh in defeat, she was right, and I hated it.

"I'm heading to school. I'll see you later." I said as I put away my plate.

"You ready little bro?" Natsuo called out when I reached the garage.

"Yeah." was all I said as I got into the car.

"You look stressed, what's wrong?" My brother asks me.

*sigh* "It's the haze, Fuyumi just reminded me..." I said a little defeated.
