Oikawa and Iwaizumi

Back track- Elementary School

Oikawa and Iwaizumi had been friends since they learnt to talk. Oikawa was a competitive guy with a glowing smile and the personality of child.
Iwaizumi was a quieter guy with a small anger issue and a grown up personality. And yet, somehow the twi if them were inseparable. You would never see them apart. Always talking and smiling and being whacked on the head by the other. cough Oikawa cough

Their friendship was pure and fun. Eventually though, Oikawa got a girlfriend. Iwaizumi didnt care too much and let him spend time with her but Oikawa never did. He stayed with his precious Iwa-chan, playing volleyball and having fun as usual. His girlfriend was not impressed and broke up with him, saying he was too focused on volleyball and his best friend more than he was focused on her which wasnt wrong but it still hurt Oikawa. He knew he wasnt the kindest person or the smartest person but he was good at something: playing volleyball and nothing could stop him from doing the thing he loved.

Iwaizumi

Iwaizumi had never had a girlfriend. At least not one Oikawa had met. He had a crush on a girl though. In truth, they had barely ever mentioned love interests but they didnt mind. They were happy. Together. As usual.

This went on for a while. Until Iwaizumi realized what was happening. He had fallen in deep. Oikawa was beautiful and perfect. He was annoying, yeah but he didnt care. He was in love with his best friend. He wanted to tell him but Oikawa was surrounded by his fangirls. And when they were alone, he could never get it out and always ended up changing the subject. He eventually gave up, hoping his feeling would nullify. Of course it never worked though. It just frustrated him even more causing volleyball's to hit Oikawa continuosly to the end of Elementary and it somehow slid through and managed to happen in Highschool too. More fangirls. More pain. But there was nothing he could do.

Oikawa

Oikawa had left to go shopping. He wanted to get sonething for his precious Iwa-chan! His birthday was coming up and he wanted it to be special. ♥️

He was at the shopping centre wondering what to buy when he noticed a ring. It was sat on display in the jewellers. It was silver with a small diamond and it sat in a black case on the window display, inviting all couples. As a teenage boy, he of course couldn't help but think if what it would look like if proposed to a girl.

Her hair blowing in the wind, her eyes sparkling as the autumn leaves fell from the trees. It was beautiful. He knelt down, pulled out the black box and looked up. Wait- what?  There in the autumn leaves with him, stood Iwaizumi. His usual black coat and soft spiky hair and his soft lips. But what stood out most was his cold but mesmerising eyes. Oikawa couldnt help but stare into them.

He suddenly realized he was still in the middle of the shopping centre. He had frozen. His legs wouldn't move and all he could think about was Iwaizumi. He had had a full blown daydream of proposing to his best friend. His face flooded with redness as the blood rushed to his face. Forget about it! He couldnt buy sonething for Iwa right now. He needed to go home. He was in love with Iwaizumi. He was in love with his best friend.
