I couldn't breathe, I was frozen in place. Never taking my eyes off him until he disappeared completely out of my sight. He was just as beautiful as he was in my dream. Then,a fat hand clamped on my shoulder. I jump back letting out a scream, before turning around. There stood Headmaster Dien. He was very tall, and slim, he had a beard, and was going bald at the top of his head where there used to be silky black hair.
"Miss Gomez, have you forgotten? There is no running down the halls," he said sternly, his grey eyes boreing into my face.
"Yes, sir," I said. He stared at me for a long moment before turning down the hallway.
"Come to my office," he walked off, I quickly followed after him, but not before sparing a glance back down the hall, where the boy ran. Headmaster Dien pushed two ancient oakwood doors open leading into his office. I stepped in after him, and the doors closed. He sat at his desk, and motioned for me to sit in the chair infront of it. I obeyed. He took out a pill, and a small cup. He got out a bottle of water and poured it in the cup, before taking two tablets out and setting them on a napkin. They were the pills I took for my "dillusions".
"How are you? Are you well?" He asked.
"Yes," I answered.
"How have you been illusional wise?" He asked.
"Okay, I guess..," I shrugged, taking a strand of hair behind my ear. He looked at the pills on the napkin, then back at me.
"If you continue taking your medication you will be able to leave this School, where you don't belong. You will be a normal teenage girl," he spoke. I slowly picked up the pills popping them in my mouth, and took a sip of water. I slid the pills under my tongue, untill I would get a chance to spit them out. I swallowed the water, and set the glass down, glancing back at him. Headmaster Dien smiled, obviously pleased. He stood up walking toward the huge glass window opposite from the room, his back facing me. I quickly spit out the pills, grabbed another napkin from his desk, and balled it up with them inside, before sliding it in the garbage can, before he could turn around.
"Since you are new you will have to pick up your text books from the library, before your classes start. Pick them up from Ms. Johnson, and tell her your name, she should already have them ready. You are dismissed Miss Gomez," he said. With that, I stood up and left.
The chalky taste of the pills still lingering around in my mouth, as I stopped at a water fountain and took a sip, but it still was there. Disgusting. I made my way, down the wooden staircase, to the second floor, making a few turns. Before I knew it, I was welcomed by two large oak, wooden doors. I pushed them open and gasped. The library was huge! It smelled of musty old books, but I ignored the foul scent. I made my way to a middle aged lady, with dirty blond hair, pale skin, and hazel eyes, whom I could only assume was Ms. Johnson? I made my way up to her, noting how there weren't many students in here. I tapped the bell at the edge of her desk, catching her attention. She looked up smiling at me, and beginning to stand up.
"Oh, Miss Gomez correct?" She asked. I silently nodded. She went behind her desk, bending over, and grabbing three large books from behind her desk. "Here you go honey, I was able to get you these, but you are missing one. Would you go get it? It's in the A section on, the last shelf to your right, when you go up the stairs. You are looking for a book that reads: How Angels Fell," she directed pointing toward a staircase that lead up to a different part of the library.
I nodded, and descended to creaking stairs. They were loud and every groan they made under my weight made me cringe. I went to section A , turning right, and to the last shelf. I skimmed through eventually finding the book I was looking for. I grabbed it, and started to head off when a familiar feeling settled over me. I chose to ignore it and continued walking by when I came across a boy. He was sitting in the lounge area, with a book over his face. He was wearing the boys uniform, so he definitely went here.
"I didn't think anyone was over here-," I mumbled coming closer. There was a book over his face, and I heard soft snoring. He could've only fallen asleep reading. The top of his head was full of wavy blond hair, all too familiar. My heart pounded in my chest. Could it be? I was overwhelmed with wanting to know what his face looked like to confirm my suspicions! Carefully I lifted up the book, and gasped. "Y-You!" I exclaimed. At this his eyes shot open landing on me!
