                                                                    Quest Questioning, Chapter 1

"Percy, we aren't going on this quest." Annabeth growled. She turned towards him, fidgeting with the pages of an architecture book. Percy sighed, leaning against the Poseidon cabin bunkers "Gods, Annabeth. I know Chiron said we would be done with quests....But I feel...I feel like this could be a great ending. I mean c'mon, we're only eighteen! And it's summer....And you won't be going to U.C Berkley for a year, and we don't go to Rome until next fall. It'd be the perfect ending for our last quest!" He begged. Annabeth smiled....Thinking back to the times with Percy and Grover. "But there is no prophecy to follow. Honestly, it's just for Chiron. And maybe even Dionysus's pleasure," She said stubbornly. Percy looked at her with deep determination, and she stood with her feet firmly on the ground, not backing away from the challenge of a good stare down. "You won't win this, Seaweed brain." She hissed. He smiled, making her bite her lip with extreme focus. "Yes, yes I will. Poseidon always wins." He said ignorantly. Annabeth rolled her eyes, shoving Percy with a bit too much force. "Yeah right. You know we'll have to find someone to go with us. And Travis and Conner can not be one of them." She insisted. Percy smiled, a real genuine smile. "Sooo.....You're gonna let us go?" He asked, focusing a bit too much on his feet. "Fine. Just because we want to end with...A fresh finish." Annabeth said, her shoulders relaxing. She grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the cabin, towards the dining hall.

"No." Nico insisted. His eyes lazily hung over his food, sighing with every movement of his body. "You're the best we've got, Nico." Percy begged. Nico groaned, and shrugged his shoulders. "Fine....We can shadow travel." He said. Annabeth smiled, a look of pride formed on her face. Will, sitting next to Nico put his fist on the table. "Absolutely not. You know if you shadow travel you get weaker everyday. I can't risk having my boyfriend faint three times a day." Will claimed. Nico laughed, stifling a grin. "I want to go on a quest. Plus, Percy and Annabeth need me." he said, smirking. Annabeth rolled her eyes. "We only picked you because you're useful." She said. Percy nodded his head viciously. "Can I come? You'll need a healer." Will said. This time it was Nico's turn to disapprove. "No. The campers need you here. Plus you'll just distract me from my real work." Will grinned. "I'll.....distract you?" Percy furrowed his brow and pretended to gag. "Okay, enough with the fluff. Are you coming or not?" Annabeth smiled, proud of his authority. "Sure. I'll be ready by tomorrow. Just need to pack some things. But I got to head to bed." Nico got up, and Will kissed him on the cheek, while Nico turned pomegranate red. "Okay, okay." Nico said, hurrying back to the Hades cabin.
