CRIMINAL MINDS ON PAPER Episode 2: Falling In Or Out
JJ POV: We got to the house and he was gone. We saw a sign of struggle in his apartment and blood on the walls but no sign of him or another person. We call Garcia and she says that Dylan has a criminal record and so we figured that he was the unsub. We wanted to talk to the parents of Elizabeth Sanders. Me and Emily went to the parents house we got there and we knocked on the door and only Mrs.Sanders answered the door and we asked her where her husband was and she said "he left to go find Dylan." We started asking her where he would go and she said "He has a warehouse downtown, here is the address." We left and called hotch to tell him to meet us there. We arrived but we couldn't wait. We got to the level and we opened the door and Mr.Sanders held a gun to his head. Emily says "Mr.Sanders Put the gun down or it will be you going to prison not him" He turns and aims the gun at Emily and I shoot him but he gets a shot and it goes into Emily's stomach. Emily weekly says "I'm fine go to him, go to him." Hotch and the rest of the team get there they bring both of hem in and arrest them as I go to emily and she lost a lot of blood I couldn't wait for the medics so i bridal carried her down 3 levels and man did it feel nice to hold her in my arms, wait what am i thinking i'm straight and engaged to Will. She gets in the ambulance and a tear rolls down my face. She was such an amazing person and talking to her last night I feel like I know everything about her. Hotch turns to me and says "Ride with her and update us we will get there in 20." I get in the ambulance and she starts flatlining and she weekly mutters to me "Just know it was an honor to be a part of this team, especially with you here." I started crying and I said "NO,NO, you can't please stay with me, stay with me, please!"

We get to the hospital and she has a very very weak pulse, they rush her into surgery and I'm sitting down in a corner crying, even though i've only known her for a week i really feel a strong connection but more than friends, what are you thinking jj you are engaged to Will. The team gets there as the doctor comes out and says we were able to stabilize her but we need one of you to stay here 24/7 to keep an eye on her. I immediately say "I can stay with her.", Hotch agrees and gives me and her a whole month off. The team checks on her and she was asleep as they said their goodbyes Morgan and Garcia say to me "be safe and you should tell her." I start frantically thinking how did they know what in the world. About an hour later Emily wakes up and I'm just holding her hand practicing what I want to say to her and she jolts up and weekly mumbles "what are you doing here, and what were you saying." I look up and I am so excited that she is awake. I then answered her "I'm supposed to stay with you 24/7 for about a month." She smirks and says "oh, but what were you saying?" I look down and say "Nothing, it was nothing" I knew i shouldn't have said that she is a profiler for goodness sake. About an hour of me talking to her and checking on her Garcia came to let me go home and grab clothes and whatnot. I got to my car and I checked my phone and there were 10 voicemails from Will. I got home to see clothes all over the house and beer bottles EVERYWHERE. I walk up to our room and I open the door to see Will with another woman. I am furious inside so I grab as much of my stuff as I can and I get almost everything, and I storm out and he doesn't even bother coming after me. I get in the car, start it and drive a mile and pull over into a parking lot and sit there just to think for a second. I thought I was going to be 100 times more mad, yes I was furious but something about me was glad that it was basically over, I looked down at my left hand and took off the ring and I threw it as far away as possible. I drive back to the hospital when i get there the nurses are running some tests on emily so i pull garcia out of the room and tell her everything that happened and i start to cry, and out of the corner of my eye i see Emily looking at me and she looked so concerned and i mouthed to her 'i'm fine.' I let Garcia leave and I walked into her room and sat with her as she was drifting off. I kept as still as possible, until I saw her hand move. It looked like she was trying to get my attention so i sat up and whispered "What is it Em, what can i do," she just moves her hand around until she hits my hand and we intertwine our fingers as i was rubbing soft small circles on the back of her hand, she started to drift off again but this time with a smile on her face, she looked so gorgeous, i dont know whats happening is it possible to fall in love with someone in less than 2 weeks?' maybe if i sleep on it. I woke up around 3 am and I apparently fell back into the set and let go of Emily's hand because I woke up to her whispering "Jen, Jen where did you go, i'm scared." I knew she wasn't one to really open up, and I immediately shot up and said in a calm voice, "I'm right here em, shhh baby it's all gonna be ok." I can't believe it. I just called her 'baby', what's going to happen.I sat there thinking for about an hour and drifted off and my head was resting on the side of Emily's bed and our hands were still intertwined.
