They are of a new generation. Rising with the moon to cast shadows of youthful lust upon graffiti covered walls. Leaving at ungodly hours of the night only to return high on life, among other things. They leave no mercy and expect none, but will ensure the world knows who they are. Smashing bottles on the ground and screaming in pure rage. Parading the streets with joy knowing they will one day rule, knowing one day the world will know hell through their eyes and heaven from their lips.

It wasn't an uncommon sight to see someone roaming the streets at night. The gangs of forgotten teenagers who only get to express themselves through breaking the rules and shouting at the sky; cursing the name of anyone to dared to stop them. However, what was uncommon, was to see someone alone.

And alone he was.

He didn't look too old, but not too young either. His mop of orange hair bounced as he stepped and his eyes reflected the light off the street lamps. He shivered once in a while, causing goosebumps to rise on his pale skin. The boy kept his hands in his pockets as he walked. He was on his way to meet someone important.

The teenager came to a crosswalk but stopped before going on his way. He heard music. He looked around until he found where it was coming from. Behind him was an open window, letting songs from a record player spill out softly into the air. He knew the song, but couldn't remember the name.

He took a final look at the window before crossing the street. He noticed two people dancing, hand in hand. He smiled to himself; just three more blocks and he could do that himself.

With a happy sigh he finally made his way across the street and down the road, into the night and out of sight. Laughter from the pair he had left behind rang out the window. A boy with bandaged fingers spun a girl around, making them lose balance and fall to the ground.

" Satori! " she cried out. The red head giggled before lifting her up and enclosing her in a hug. He felt her pushing away and tightened his grip, making sure she couldn't get away.

" I won't ever let you go! " he said. [Your name] looked up to him with saudade eyes and smiled.

" I hope not. "
