Her Future Husband

Chapter One

After career course my mom got stationed in Kentucky and Nia stationed to Missouri. Missouri was about six hours away from Kentucky so we decided to go visit them there. I was ten, Claire was 14, and Shane was 15. We got there around two or three, my mom and Nia told us to go meet and hang out with Shane. Nia said that Shane's room was upstairs, on the very right. Claire amend I went upstairs and found the room on the right and slowly and nervously knocked on the door. I guess Shane was kinda expecting us because he didn't really seem surprised when he opened his door.
We slowly walked into his room which was a little big. By the time we walked in he had already been back on his T.V. He was playing Minecraft on his Xbox. He didn't ever really say hi but he already knew that Claire liked Minecraft. After about fifth-teen minutes of us just sitting on the floor and watching him play Minecraft, he noticed that we were getting bored. I remember Shane building a huge tower with his friends on Minecraft. So Shane asked Claire and I if we wanted to play and we said yes. I didn't really know how to play so he showed me. I was not very interested but I didn't want Claire to be the only one playing. Shane went over to his laptop and continued to play Minecraft.
"Wow he must really love Minecraft."
I told Claire, I guess his earbuds were out because he heard me. He turned around slowly with with a small grin on his face, paused for a second, and quietly said "yes" almost like he was ashamed but it was funny at the same time. After about an hour we were tired of playing Minecraft, but obviously Shane could play it all day. In fact he never went downstairs unless it was to get food, at least while we were there. Speaking of food it was time for dinner so me, Claire, and Shane all went downstairs to eat.
