No Promises

Reminisce: Part 4

"This is one of the new producers for the One Tree Hill reboot, Dani, is this Sophia Bush?" Dani asked. "Yes. I replied." "I heard that you said yes to the reboot and also to Chicago P.D., is that correct?" Dani asked. "Yes, I did, is that going to be a problem?" I asked anxiously. "No, its no problem at all, we just wanted to make sure that the schedule wont be too gruesome for you." she said. "Oh, no, it wont be a problem for me, I checked with my agent and she said that the two schedules won't cross each other on the same day." I assured her. "Good to know, we will be starting the reboot, Ravenswood in a couple of months and the table read will be next Wednesday, so we kind of need you to be in Chicago very soon." Dani said. "Wow. That soon? Huh, okay, I will be there for the table read next week." I hesitantly replied. "Oh, by the way can we not tell any press that I will be joining, I want to be the to tell everyone." I asked. "Of course, that's totally understandable." Dani replied. I let out a breath of relief. After we hanged up, I started to realize that I need to buy back my Chicago apartment and pack everything. Damn... I need to pack my clothes, then I can worry about my furniture. As soon as I packed all my clothes and bought a plane ticket to Chicago, I felt exhausted and slept the night away. My phone had been blaring the sound, causing me to wake up and get ready to go to the airport. I still can't believe that I'm going back to Chicago. I wonder if anyone knows that I'll be back for Chicago P.D. and joining the reboot. Ravenswood I thought, they really couldn't come up with a better name than calling the town we live in after our High School basketball team. I chuckled and heard my plane being called, I went to get into the plane and of course, there were paparazzi. Great. I quickly boarded the plane, hoping that they didn't realize I was boarding for Chicago. I texted both Dani and Dick that I was heading to Chicago before the plane took off. It was a great three-hour nap, but then, sadly, I got woken up by the pilot to buckle up because we were about to land. I felt anxious and nervous, I don't know how everyone will react, but hopefully in a good way. As I stepped outside the plane, the Chicago wind breezed roughly, causing me to shiver. Damn, I forgot how cold Chicago is, they don't call the Windy City for nothing. I headed into a hotel and checked in, only to yet again, be followed by paparazzi. Why can't they just leave me alone and live their lives without bothering anyone? I sighed heavily and went up into my room quickly, ignoring their questions again. As soon as I got into my room, I plopped onto the bed. I am going to buy my Chicago apartment, probably after the first table read for the reboot. Its too late to think about this shit right now. A week has past and I'm about to go in for the table read, why the hell am I nervous, I should be even more nervous for the Chicago P.D. table read. As I walked into the building, I looked around to find literally everyone staring at me and it made me uncomfortable. The next thing I know, I'm being squeezed to death by Hilary and Bethany. "Can't... breathe..." I whispered. Both Bethany and Hilary pulled back quickly apologizing. "We're just so glad that you decided to do the reboot. We tried asking Dani, but she said nothing, and we didn't want to text you, because we didn't know if an offer has been extended to you." Bethany and Hilary quickly said without taking a breath. "Wow. First, take a breath, second, of course I was going to do the reboot when I found out." I said. In my peripheral vison, I saw Austin, James and Chad walking up to me. Damn I knew all the dating my costars will come back at me. Shit. Sophia. All of them said candidly. Wow, never felt that much tension since I was on set of Chicago P.D. Hey... I slowly said. I saw the looks that Bethany and Hilary gave to each other. Suddenly, I felt being hugged by all three of my exes, okay what the hell is happening, I get Austin and James would hug me, but Chad. I thought that he would give me a cold shoulder ever since I spoke out about our marriage. They pulled back from the hug and chuckled at my confused face. "So, wait, you all don't hate me?" I asked. "No, the past is the past." Austin said followed by the other two nodding their heads. "Wow, I guess a lot has happened in the past eight years. Oh, um, okay then. Nice to you guys too" I said, still confused. We all sat down and started reading the script. When we finished reading the first couple of episodes of Ravenswood, my phone started to ring and saw Dick Wolf calling me. "Hey, what's up?" I said, quietly going to a more private area. I saw Hilary and Bethany giving me curious looks and I mouthed them I'll tell you later, they both nodded and continued socializing with the others. "Hey Sophia, I heard that you're in Chicago for the table read of the reboot? Is it possible that you can make it to the first table read for season 8 of Chicago P.D. tomorrow at noon?" Dick asked. "Yeah, I'll be there." I agreed. "Perfect, I'll see you there, oh, and don't worry, I haven't told anybody yet." Dick reassured me. "Okay, good, thanks again." I thanked him and hanged up. I pulled Bethany and Hilary aside to tell them what's going on. "So, who was that?" They both ask. "That was the producer, Dick Wolf, and we were talking about me returning to Chicago P.D." I revealed. I looked at their surprised faces. "Really? I thought you left because of Wechsler's abusive behavior towards you?" Bethany asked. "I did leave because of that, but he told me that they got rid of him and they want me to come back." I told them. "So, wait, let me get this straight. You're going to do both shows, here in Chicago, and there's going to be no problem between both schedules?" Hilary asked. "Nope, I even made sure that both schedules wont be on the same day. It might be exhausting, but I missed everyone, and Chicago's food." I said, we chuckled at my food comment. "As long as you're happy, Soph." Both said. We all went back to others, catching up on each others lives. I soon revealed that I will be doing both the reboot and Chicago P.D. and everyone seemed confused at first, but once I explained why I am doing both, they seemed to understand my choice. Finally, everything is going right for me.

Sorry, school has been a bitch lately so I wrote more than I usually do. :)
