Chapter 2- Depression Ends

The next morning when Brooklyn woke, there was a note laying on the nightstand that read, "Breakfast is on the stove, already prepared. I will be home at about 11:30, see you then! Love, your one and only, Colten." Brooklyn smiled, glanced at the clock that ready 9:14 A.M, and went downstairs to eat. When 11:30 rolled around, Colten walked in the door with groceries, Starbucks for the both of them, and one other bag that Brooklyn didn't recognize. "Babe, so I got to thinking that we need to take our relationship to the next level." Colten said, quite nervously. Brooklyn smiled and said, "What do mean by that?". It took Colten a moment to reply, he walked in the kitchen, and when he walked back out, he had the mystery bag in his hand. He reached in and pulled out a tiny box. He got down on one knee and said, "Brooklyn Rose Johnson, will you marry me?". Brooklyn broke out in tears and screamed, "Yes!". Colten looked at Brooklyn, smiled and got up off of the floor. "Wait, that's not all." Colten said, handing Brooklyn a heart shaped box. Inside were 2 Blake Shelton tickets, a movie theatre gift card, a Starbucks gift card,  and at the very bottom were 2 meet and greet passes for the Blake Shelton show.

"Babe, this is amazing. I can't believe that I am getting married, going to see Blake Shelton, and I get to meet him!" Brooklyn hollered. "Yeah, I thought I would do something extra special for you, because you weren't feeling all that great. Well, actually I have been planning the wedding for 3 months now. I just didn't know when I was going to put it into action." Colten spilled.  "Well, babe, I have some news too. It might have to do with why I have been so depressed too." Brooklyn said in honesty. "Yes baby?" Colten asked. "We're gonna be parents, of a baby girl." Brooklyn burst. Colten jumped up, gave her a huge hug, and laid his lips on hers. "I'm going to be a daddy?" He said. "Yes, you are going to be a daddy." Brooklyn approved.
