A week had passed before the day of Griffin's trial had come. Today, both sides were giving their opening statements and Delilah, Jesse, Maria,Jett were going to testify today.
"Are you guys ready? We need to get to the courthouse."Everyone nodded and got into the SUV. Everyone was on edge on how this was going to go today.
"Delilah, I need you to come with me.You'll be the first witness following Jesse, Maria, and Jett."Delilah followed the prosecutor as everyone took their seats in the gallery.
"You okay Kendall?"James asked.
"Yeah. Just nervous."Kendall said.
"All rise for Judge Davis."The four officer said
"You may sit."The judge said.
"Mr.Dubois, you are representing Mr.Griffin,Mr.Stetson,Ms.Vasquez,and Mr.Fleming, said I see."
"And I see Ms. Lopez, you are representing Mr.Knight and his friends?"
"I am your honor."
"Very well. Mr. Dubois, you may start with your opening statement."
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Mr Griffin,My client, is here today for being accused of kidnapping, holding illegal weapons, and the making of these weapons. Mr. Griffin has been a respected CEO for RCM CBT Global Sanyoid Corporation for over 20 years now as Mr.Knight, Mr.Mitchell,Mr.Gracia,and Mr.Diamond are all under his company. Now, when Mr.Stetson nobody thought of anything but it was when everyone noticed Kendall went missing. A year after he and his friends were rescued, it happens again but to where they don't actually see my client's face. So how are we supposed to know who was behind this? I ask you to hear the evidence against my clients to know what truthfully happened. Thank you."
"Ms.Lopez, when you're ready."
"Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, Mr.Griffin has tortured my clients. He has made my clients regain their memory after erasing it from them. He injected a needle filled with something that was able to insert power of some kind into them. He controlled them when his friends were trying to rescue them. They have all been through something that has left them traumatized. So I'm asking you to look at the evidence. Hear the evidence of what my clients say and it shows Arthur Griffin is guilty. Thank you for your attention."
"You have heard opening statements. Are we ready for direct examination?"
"We are, your honor."Both lawyers said.
"We may proceed."The judge says.

Delilah walked up to the witness stand, noticing all her friends giving her 'you can do it' looks.
"Do you swear to tell the truth, nothing but the truth?"
"I do."She answered before she sat down.
"Your name is Delilah Monroe, correct?"Ms.Lopez asked.
"Yes."
"Very well. Can you tell me how you ended up at the facility?"
Delilah sighed and stated, "I had a fight with my sister Kelli and went out for a walk. I didn't know where I was going when I kept feeling someone was following me. I kept walking when I felt someone grab me. Soon after, I knew I had fallen unconscious somehow. I soon woke up to me being in some room strapped to a metal table." Delilah answers.
"Do you remember anything like say Mr. Griffin being there?"
"Objection. Your honor, Ms.Lopez is speculating that my client was there?"
"Jury will disregard."
"Ms. Monroe, can you tell the jury who you saw in that room?"
"I remember seeing a different man and African American woman. I remember seeing him in the room with me. My ex boyfriend."
"Let the record show Ms. Monroe is referring to Jesse Fleming."
"What else can you remember?"
"My name. He gave us these subject names. He said my name was subject M-5. I was taken to a room where it felt like my bedroom. The two people I saw in the room, I remember them being called The Boss and The Lady. We had to call them by that. He made us call him The Head."
"Who?"
"Mr. Griffin."
"When did you find out you had powers?"
"I was taken to another room where there were people I didn't recognize there. We were told these powers were going to help save the world. I didn't know how I had them until Ms.Vasquez told me. He inserted a special serum that was made for us to lose our memories and insert these powers into us."
"Ms, Monroe, when did you get out from 'The Facility.'"
"I didn't escape until five years after I was captured. I finally escaped along with Jesse. I managed to contact my sister after five years. Ms. Vasquez, found us weeks later."
"And during this time have you happened to run into Mr.Knight and his friends?"
"No. Not that I can recall."
"So what happened after you went to rescue everyone from the facility?"
"Me,Jesse, Maria had to fight against my brother. Everyone was fighting against who they love. We managed to get everyone out and go back to The Palmwoods where we were staying. Kendall had left without saying but a letter. A year later, we got a phone call saying we were ready to play these games. A few days later, we got a video call with Kendall strapped down. We knew something happened to him and after my date, I was taken by someone. I woke up to see I was in a similar room as the facility and that's when I saw Jesse. He told me to join 'us' and we'll be in control. I told yes to trick him but I never did."
"No further question you honor." Ms. Lopez sat back down.
"Ms. Monroe, you and Mr. Fleming we're together for five years while in the Facility, correct?"
"Yes."
"So you never noticed he was part of this who plan with Mr. Griffin?"
"I wasn't with him all the time. He got pulled away at times and didn't see him for hours."
"You avoided the question. Did you or did you not notice my client with Mr. Griffin?"
"No."
"So how'd you know Mr. Griffin put these powers into your body?"
"Ms. Vasquez told me."
"But anyone who worked for my client could've so was it my client?"
"Yes."
"How do you know?"
"I seen him preparing the serum. I didn't know what it was then. But he always had it went him."
"Okay then. So what happened to Danny Monroe?"
"Objection. This is very private to the witness."
"I'll allow it. Answer the question Ms. Monroe."
"I had fought against my brother and he died. He was mentally crazy. He body slammed my sister when she was younger and would do anything to have attention on him. I killed him."
"I couldn't hear that last part."
"I killed him! Is that what you want me to say."
"No further questions." Mr. Dubois smiled and sat dow .
"You may step down Ms. Monroe." She went and took a seat next to Kelli in the Gallery.

"Bring Mr. Fleming out." The judge ordered.
"Do you swear to the truth, nothing but the truth?"
"Yes, I do."
"Mr.Fleming, you came to the facility with Ms. Monroe, correct?"
"Yes."
"So what happened?"
"I was on my way to her house. I was about to stop when I saw her walking but somebody kidnapped her and I followed them."
"So then you arrived and they knocked you unconscious?"
"Yes but it didn't last for long."
"What happened after?"
"We were all taken to separate rooms. We then came together and they told us about our powers. It weird to me at first. But Mr. Griffin later pulled me aside later as the stay became later in the years. He wanted me to recruit people as he thought I was the perfect person to. But I didn't."
"So how does Mr. Stetson come into this?"
"A year before me and Delilah escaped, Mr. Griffin wanted as many people for his experiment. So I was let go and grabbed Jett but that's all I grabbed."
"No further questions."
"Ms. Lopez, proceed."
"Jesse, were you pulled away a lot by Mr.Griffin?"
"Yes."
"Were you told to grab my clients after you escaped?"
"No."
"So it's a consequence that Mr. Knight last seen from your hideout with my client?"
"Yes."
"So it wasn't your idea to lure my clients to your hideout where they ended up at the facility?"
"No."
"So you know who did?"
"No."
"So who took Kendall Knight in New York?"
"It wasn't me. I'm a victim."
"No further questions."
"Court will take a recess for 15 minutes."

So this story is going to be a few more chapter than what I thought but after all it is a journey. Next chapter, Kelli will be called to testify as Maria and Jett. Let me know what you think but until then, stay safe.
