Chapter 1

**Ryder's pov**

"Ryder?"
"Come in" I said
I looked over at my door to find my 15 year old sister , Ashly. She was about 5'4 , she had long blonde hair , she was pal , and had blue eyes. These past few weeks she seemed to avoiding me. I didn't know why I just figured she needed some space. I could hear her throwing up early in the morning and crying. I didn't bother her about it because I know my sister and I know she will tell me when she is ready.
"Can I talk to you?"
"Of course you can" I said
"You know my boyfriend Tyler?"
Of course I knew her boyfriend. I meet him a few times. He seemed to be a very nice kid. He treated her right and that's all I cared about.
"Yes , why?" I said in a 'duh' tone
"Can he come with us?"
"Ash , look I know your gonna miss him , but I can't afford another mouth to feed"
"Ryder please! I need him. You don't understand! You won't have to worrying about taking care of him! He will get a job he can take care of his self! All he needs is a ride down there! Ryder please" she begged me.
She sounded so hurt. I didn't like it.
"I will take him down there the rest is up to him" I said
"Oh thank god! Ryder I love you! Your the best big brother ever" she said running over to me , tackling me into a hug. I chuckled and told her I loved her to and she needed to finish packing.

This town looked like shit. It looked like someone set it on fire then a huge flood came threw and nobody bothered to fix it. Then again it was a change. In its own little way it kinda felt cozy. It was small didn't seem like there was to many people here. Which was great less people to bother me.

"Oh no. That must be him" someone whispered
"Yeah I heard he was bad news. Went to jail for beating people up" someone else whispered

Oh great. Didn't realize this town would be so quick to judge me. I know what your thinking! No I have never been in jail. I got into a few fights , I am a teenage boy, everyone does it. I never seriously hurt anyone tho. I have a feeling this is gonna be a long year. Yes I said year I agreed to stay here a full year to just try something different.
"Come Ash lets go. Don't wanna be late to get you signed up in school"
"Yeah I would hate for that" she muttered
I just laughed. She hated school. Emily on the other hand loved it! I have no idea why but she does.
"Alright man , let's go" Justin said
Justin is my best friend and has been since we were 3 years old. Him and his little brother came along with us. He felt that it was indeed time for a change.
"Okay"

"Hello my name is Harry. I am in charge of the school here. How may I help you young men?" He said.
"Yes my name is Ryder smith. I would like to enroll this three kids in school."
"Ryder smith huh? You know I have heard a few things about you. I am not the one to judge but I also no you don't have anywhere to go. Is that true?
Yes that was indeed true. While the kids were in school Justin and I Were gonna go looking for a place to stay. Hoping that we would find one before the kids got out.
"Yes sir that's true."
"Well I happen to know some people that would be more then happy to help you out. I know you don't have money and trying to get your life back on track is very hard"
I don't really like taking people's help but I knew I had to do somthing so the kids were not staying in the street tonight.
"Uh yes sir it is. But you don't have to do that"
"Non-sense I will call the person in here now so yall can talk about it sound good?"
"Yes sir"
He then picked up his phone and sailed someone's number.
"Yes hello Tiffany how are you." ... "That's good I need you to come down to my office" .... "Thank you"

~~~~~15 mintues later~~~~~~~

"Hello Harry"
" hello I know that you really like helping people out. This young men and their family really need a place to stay. They are trying to get their life back together and it would be nice if you and Nichole would help them"
She then turned around and looked and me Then Justin. She looked very nervous.
"Yes sir just let me make sure with Nichole first"
Right about then then door opened, and walked in a very pretty girl. She was about 5'6 , long black hair , tan , and grey eyes. She wore all black.
"Nichole just the girl I was looking for"
"Is that so? She smirked
"Yes I need you to help these young men out"
She turned to look at all of us. She looked at everyone and her eyes finally landed on mine. When she did all I seen was fear cross threw her eyes. Could she possibly be afraid of me? I don't care either way.
"Nichole please they really need our help. It's only gonna be for a little while then they will leave."
"Okay fine"
She then turned back to us.
"Okay you and you will go with her." She pointed to Emily and Justin's little brother Steven. Telling them to go with Tiffany.
"You can take them to get hair cuts , buy 7 new outfits for each of them , underclothes , 2 pair of shoes and bathing stuff...... And you can go with them because you don't seem to like the thought of them being alone with her you can also get yourself some clothes and a hair cut if you would like" she was talking to Justin and she was right. He didn't like his brother in the hands of a stranger. He just nodddd his head and then they left. They only people that were left was me, my sister and her boyfriend. Nichole was just staring at Ash before she finally sat in a chair next to me.
"How far along are you?"
What? What the hell did she mean by that?
"Uh how did you know?"
"I just did. You and your boyfriend looked very nervous. You looked like you haven't had any rest in days. Your boyfriend there keeps looking over her at him like he is waiting for Ryder to blow up any second"
"6 weeks that's how far along"
"What?! Your pregnant?" I screamed
"Ryder please don't be ma- " I cut her off
"Why didn't you tell me?!"
"I didn't know how" her voice so soft I all at didn't hear her. I just sat down and didn't bother to look her in the eye. I was pissed and she knew it.
"Okay so this is what I have to offer for you two. I have a 2 bedroom apartment and one bath. Not even 1 block from where I live. It is fully furnished. Comes with everything you would need. I am willing to left you live there 3 months rent free. I will get you both a job and after the 3 months you will paying yourselfs. I will buy you each a car. Nothing special just to get you to and from work. I will buy all the baby things you will need for the first year. Now I don't mean I will buy throughout the year I mean will buy everything at one time and give it to you. So that means you will be able to save up.."
"Oh my gosh! Are you serious? Thank you so much"
"No so fast"
"What is it"
She pointed at me and said " he has to agree"
My sister's face fell. She just sat back down looking at the ground. As much as I wanted to yell at her a scream and tell her no, and tell her that she could never see Tyler again. I knew it wasn't the right thing to do. He came down her to be with his girlfriend and his child in the making. And I totally respected him for that. Least to say I was impressed with the kid.
"I don't care as long as I have a key to your place and you call me everyday to let me know everything is alright"
Ash's head snapped up and she had tears in her eyes. She jumped up and ran over to me and whispered in my ear.
"I love you Ryder"
"I love you to Ash"
"Okay now that's all settle , you can also go buy 5 new out fits each underclothes and bathing stuff. Then take 2oo to go buy you some new bed sheets and pillows and stuff like that"
She handed them a card and her car keys and told them to get going and to meet back at her house later. Now it was just me , her and Harry.
"You don't seem like the type that wants things for yourself and don't take things for other people. In other words you don't like people's help. So I will make you a deal. I will give you 300 and you go buy somthing for yourself . I will get you a job. And if you feel the need to pay me back you can. Now we must get going because we have a long walk ahead of us"
I was taken back. She just helped my family out more then I could have ever done.
"Okay"
"Thank you Nichole!"
"No problem Harry"
With that we started out long walk back to her house and my soon to be house....
