៚. . . " I tried to reassure the waiter, say you're down the street; he laughed at me "

Jungwon had the best sleep last night, causing him to wake up in a good mood.

He immediately went to his closet, picked his outfit for the day and went to their bathroom to freshen up his self. He was going to the café for his morning coffee, and he realized last night, at the middle of the night, he haven't asked the girl's name. So, he rushed to do his morning rituals and excitedly walked in the streets, humming to a song that has been stuck in his head, heading to the shop.

Jungwon entered the shop, and he felt a sense of déjà vu.

He loved the sound of coffee beans being grinded. And its aroma— ah, even better. Jungwon wasn't a coffee addict before, heck, he hated the taste of it. Until one day, he went to his friend's house and he was served coffee by his friend's mom. He couldn't decline and leave the coffee untouched, that would be rude.

He took a sip from it, and voila, he ended up finishing the cup of coffee. Because of that, there wouldn't be a day for him without drinking it and tasting it in his mouth, feeling it go through his throat. He liked both hot and cold coffee, but for him, cold coffee just hits different sometimes.

Same thing happened, he ordered his coffee, payed for it, and went to his favorite sit. He sipped from his coffee, and he could feel his insides doing cartwheels— if that makes sense.

He looked at his surroundings, and it was packed. There were couples, circle of friends, some working hard in their computers, other students from universities cramming for their hour-left tests, and him being there, lonely and just enjoying his coffee.

He tried denying something though, he denied the feeling that he was expecting her to come. He even saved a sit for her, the one she sat yesterday and it was the last seat that wasn't taken inside the shop. If she would show up, he will immediately ask for her name.

He was waiting for almost an hour already, yet no image of her can be seen.

Finally, he admitted he was looking for her. He kept telling himself that she will show up. She will. He really needed to ask for her name, he wanted to be close to her. Ever since he saw that girl, he couldn't understand his feelings anymore, and it was bugging his sleep.

The sound of the bell from the café rang, and unexpectedly, Jungwon's face brightened. But seeing who went inside, his face became gloomy again. It wasn't her.

He nervously looked around the shop, and there was no seat left, only the seat he saved for her. He hoped the girl who just came would not plan to stay, or else he will need to give it to her.

And the question he didn't want to hear right now slapped him right in the face. "Excuse me, is this seat taken?" he faced the girl, and he saw the girl carrying some papers and a computer. Right, she was studying. He was sandwiched by the yes or no answer right now.

Yes.

"Sorry, this seat's taken" Jungwon answered. The girl was staring at Jungwon, and Jungwon wanted to facepalm his self for lying. The girl went to the cashier and talked with a waiter. Oh no, they were heading to Jungwon!

"Um sir, are you sure this seat is taken?" the waiter asked while laughing. Obviously, no one was sitting there. He couldn't lie anymore, and he accepted that she wasn't coming anymore. It was sad, today was the last day before he gets busy and debuts.

"S-Sorry. This seat isn't taken" Jungwon sadly answered and left the shop with his coffee and carrying the sad and betrayal feeling with him.

Little did he know, while heading home, he would see her and their connection would be deeper than ever.
