"Ok..." I peer down to the coverings on the bed, clutching tightly to attempt to settle my nerves. I was beyond indignation that circumstances had arrived at this. Still, this is my life for now.
Chrollo looked to the ground peeking a grin as his lips curved up as a response.
"Perhaps now is a suitable time then?" The Spider flitted his gaze to my portrait while stating his query to me. I nodded my head to answer the more mature, built male; the Phantom Troupe leader veered his head to the right, in a gentle resonance, then proceeding, stepping closer to my body, stretching overhead me. I hunkered as tranquil as plausible to circumvent triggering any reaction; it acted as if my figure solidified, comprehending that movement presently could propose something unpredictable occurring. I was not timid.
Furthermore, my body tensed; and I don't understand why my intellect entirely reacts the way it does toward him. I'm not confident what it is about him; that provokes me to feel like this. My thoughts extended to wander as he unhitched the shackles that restricted me to this mattress.
"Don't try anything ludicrous," Chrollo conversed out in a sharp tone; his facial expressions stayed back to his baseline, stone-like, causing it strangely arduous to study him. Lately, he's been further expressive in my presence; I queried if it indicated anything- yet, it is difficult to distinguish what his true intentions ever are. My body loosened the braced tension that seized me so tense as I nod once more to reply to him. I can still explore for an exit; there's no necessity to run this time, the plan formed into my mind. After all, I do yet have to attain the Spider's trust. Chrollo gripped the chains tightly, assumably to evade me from endeavoring to run away from him. Despite this, I dispute I can even escape this position. I nevertheless require to heal if I'm ever advancing to run absent from the Phantom Troupe.
"If you attempt to run, you will serve worse consequences," Chrollo articulated, his pitch sharp; as he executed the final progressions to relieve the chains of my body. Once the restraints were liberated from me, the Spider jerked his head to denote for me to follow. I slipped my figure towards the foot of the mattress to make transcending off easier. I'm unsure how adequately I will endure cruising to wherever the shower was located with a broken ankle.
I can do it by myself, though; I don't require his assistant.
I attempt to stand on both limbs. Furthermore, both begin to wobble lightly- I had been chain rested for weeks, proposing no way to move around, to keep any strength; this was going to be frustrating- however, I refuse to allow the Spider to aid me, no matter what. My legs collapsed from beneath me, inducing me to sink to my knees' I released a grunt of exasperation, irritated with my body for not being capable of holding up with me; For existing so inadequate. Chrollo, startled from my stumble, his orbs enlarged; it resembled as if he'd just discovered that my condition signified a lot more critical than he initially tallied it out to be. The troupe leader squatted, stretching his hand in my direction for assistance to get me back to my feet. I gawked at his optics and observed my eyesight succumb itself, shifting into scarlet until that lasted solely all I could see. Everything red; He didn't appear bothered and continued holding his grip outstretched.
"Here, grasp my hand." Chrollo's tone remained tender and reassuring. I don't apprehend what it is about his nature; but, it made me want to pacify. Although whenever he would try to soothe me, a clear judgment of resentment ripples back and stirs me after brief moments of tranquility. It was compelling for me to go off.
"No, I am fine." I raised my voice to him, striking his hand aside. I performed another effort to stand up; this occurred more favorably than the previous endeavor; despite, the shot quickly went terrible when I began walking—causing me to topple over again.
