Skin rich with melanin
From her womb she birthed civilization
Her bosom swollen with milk fed nations
Her voice sweet as honey
And tho she didn't always have the money
She made miracles
Spoke life into her people
Her spirit unbreakable
Knock her down she get up time and time again
Tired
Stressed
Overworked
Weight of the world on her shoulders
But her walk be light as a feather
Commanding attention as she strolls into the room
Back straight
Shoulders back
A sway in her hips that would demand each head to bow at an instant
She is worthy of worship
Walking God
She bathed in sunlight and love
Smile everlasting
She knows no mountain she can't reach
No barriers she can't break
She be like Nefertiti of the modern day
Her whole hearted laughter flows from her body to your ears
Like music to the soul
There is nothing like it
Her aura be unmatched
she holds magic in her hands
Stories behind her brown eyes
Lotus flower gateway lies between her thighs
She be the essence of life
She be a black woman
The rose that grew from a world of concrete
Yet she remains full of life
Heads bowed
Eyes closed
I'd like to say a prayer for my black women
May she look in the mirror and be proud of her skin that radiates melanin
May she understand what it means to love herself unconditionally
May she be protected at all times of those envious of her power
May she take pride in her curls coils and kinks
Know that it be her crown
Continue walking with her head held high even though society feels like it should be down
May she be one with self, handled with care, experience a life full of peace and prosperity
May she move through life with sense of direction and clarity
Bring healing and love to all my beautiful black women
