"yeah, next time"

it was a sunny day unlike a month ago on the 29th of February, the day he met norton. mike would lay on his couch while some children's shows played on the tv.

"im so bored!"

he would call out after a sigh. he would then slouch down to stretch out again to a sound of a notification. he would grab his rainbow phone off the marble coffee table.

norton💕; at 6;00?

all mike could think was of course love! but in reality he was an anxious mess. he would reply

yeah! ill be there!

he'd close the messages app to take a quick peek at the time.
"5;11 already?" he would call out in shock. he'd get up and run straight to the bathroom to get ready, first he took a quick shower, brushed his hair, got into a nice colourful outfit and got outside.
"10 minutes spare!" he'd sigh with relief right as a taxi pulled up front
"kat's cupcakes?"
"yessir!"
"then get in, you'll pay when we get there."
mike would anxiously kick at the front seat with a few words from the driver to have him stop. they would later pull up and mike would take out his wallet and pay the driver about 7 usd and got out.
"have a good date sir!"
"you too!" mike quickly corrected himself in embarrassment "i mean have a good day!" the taxi driver nodded with a giggle and started the car then left.
"mike!"
"norton!" mike would yell noticing the tall black haired boy, running towards him. he would stop before he crashed into the wall and then hug him tightly. norton was a little embarrassed but then held right back onto the blonde boy.
"shall we go inside?"
"no need to be a gentleman!" mike laughed tugging on norton's jacket. norton nodded with a tomato face and walked inside with the child like boy.
the two would chat a while, order food, pay, chat more and more.
"mmm! this cakepop is delicious!"
"haha you got the worse one, blueberry is superior."
"is not"
"is too" the boys would break out laughing and continued with their chat.

until mike noticed something on norton's arm, a few sc*rs that were not natural. he teared up for a moment
"ill be right back! gotta go to the restroom!" he would stand up putting a happy face and bolting to the restroom. he'd sit there for a moment with just his thoughts, should i bring it up? of course not! but im worried. but you dont bring up sc*rs like that! you did when you saw his face one. because its not natural! i dont want him to hurt himself.. mike would quickly return

TW OVER!

"sorry if i took too long!" he would apologize quickly. norton would apologize and say its fine after his return and mike laughed it off.

"see you next time?"
"yeah, next time."

mike would anxiously await for his taxi after norton got his ride home, mike would then return safely at home though worried about norton.
