Chapter 8

As Minjun wakes up, he is greeted to a different and cold room than from his usual room his dada sleeps in. Minjun fluffs up his fur and sees Cinnabun curled up in one of Matthew's blankets. Minjun snorts and sneezes feeling the cold air on his tiny nose. Minjun decides to go out and find Matthew. Minjun hops off the bed and hips down the stairs. He is greeting to the smell of burning wood and a beautiful cabin living room.

Minjun tilts his head and purrs softly hopping to the fireplace. Minjun flops down next to it happily. Matthew comes into the house holding some wood. "Oh hi sweetheart! You're up." He puts the wood down and pets Minjun softly. Minjun squeaks nibbling at Matthew's hand. "You like the cold?" He chuckles. Minjun fluffs out his fur and chews on some of the wood. "Ahh baby no that's for the fire! Let's get you some food." He picks Minjun up carefully not to drop him. Minjun wiggles into Matthew's jacket purring. "Is it cold? Would you like to go outside and see the snow?" Matthew asks. Minjun nods and chews on Matthew's hoodie. "Ah ah Minjun no." Matthew pulls the hoodie from Minjun's mouth. Minjun whines and starts to cry. "Ok ok sorry honey!" Matthew says. Minjun sniffles and nibbles on it softly. "Papa..." Minjun nuzzles his nose into Matthew's arm. "Let's go outside live. Don't cry please... I don't like when my bunny cries." Matthew says kissing his head. Minjun purrs licking Matthew's cheek. "Alright I'm going to put you down." Matthew puts Minjun down in the snow. Minjun squeaks sinking into it. Matthew laughs getting on his knees watching Minjun run in the snow. Minjun binkies happily and flops in the snow. "Feels nice?" Matthew asks. "Ywesh!" Minjun starts digging in the snow and pops out next to Matthew with snow on his head and in his mouth. "Aww baby~" he chuckles seeing Cinnabun hop out. "Oh good morning hon! Minjun and I are playing in the snow, come out!" Matthew says picking her up and setting her on his lap. Cinnabun swuraks and hides in Matthew's hoodie. "She says it's cold." Minjun hops onto Matthew and drags Cinnabun out by the tail. "AHHHH!" Cinnabun screeches. "Cinnabun you'll get used to it!" He groans. Cinnabun thumps her feet kicking snow at Minjun but accidentally hitting Matthew instead. "I- Hey!" Matthew frowns. Cinnabun squeaks and brushes it off Matthew. "You crazy bunnies." He laughs. Minjun purrs and flops in the snow. Minjun runs to a new batch of snow and digs a hole in it making a little den.

"Aww Minjun!" Matthew coos. Minjun eats some of the snow and kicks it at Matthew digging a bigger hole. Cinnabun squeaks and giggles starting to dig too. "Ahh bunnies-" Matthew sighs. Minjun purrs looking at him then nuzzling his leg. "Cinnabun, mommy is going to come pick you up today ok?" Matthew pats her. Cinnabun squeaks and whimpers putting her head down. "Aww~ are you going to miss Minjun?" He asks. Cinnabun nods. Minjun licks her cheek. Matthew smiles. "I'll get your stuff ready." He stands up going inside. Minjun shakes the snow off and runs into the woods. Cinnabun follows him. 'Where are we going?' She says. "To this secret hiding place I saw!" Minjun says going into a tree trunk and purring softly. 'It's warm in here!' Cinnabun goes close to Minjun and cuddles up next to him. "You know Matthew is my boyfriend right?" He says. Cinnabun shrugs. 'I just want cuddles, it's cold.' She shivers. Minjun lays down and curls into a ball next to Cinnabun laying down. Cinnabun purrs and lays down next to him. 'Do you smell that?' Cinnabun whines. "What- oh...yes I do." Minjun tries not to gag. Cinnabun runs out of the tree trunk and sees some other bunnies running to check something out. "Wild rabbits." Minjun runs towards them. Cinnabun squeaks and follows him. The wild bunnies scream seeing Minjun and Cinnabun. 'WHO ARE YOU GUYS?' They say frightened. "We are domestic bunnies. We live in that cabin in the woods over there!" Minjun says. 'You guys need to go home.' They say. Cinnabun runs away. "CINNABUN!" Minjun thumps watching her bolt back to the cabin. Minjun looks back at them. "Uhh.." he says nervously. 'These woods are scary. Full of secrets you should know about little rabbit.' They eerily look behind them. "W-What's behind you?" Minjun pushes them and screams. "D-Dead...b-bodies?!" Minjun tries to run away but the biggest one grabs him. "Don't tell any bunny about this or we will find you." They hiss throwing him to the ground letting him run away. Minjun squeaks in fear running to Matthew who is waiting for him outside. "Whoa Minjun! What's wrong baby boy?" He picks him up. Minjun squeaks louder hiding in Matthew's jacket. "DEAD BODIES!!" Minjun jumps out of Matthew's arms turning into his hybrid form and frantically calling the police. "Whoa Minjun not yet-" Matthew grabs the phone. "You need to show me first." Matthew calmly goes outside. Minjun turns into his bunny form and runs to the woods. Matthew follows him and pants heavily as Minjun screeches to a halt. "Papa!" Minjun scratches Matthew's pant leg. "Oh fuck..." Matthew curses. Minjun whines. "Alright uhh...Minjun go back inside." Matthew dials 911. Minjun thumps his feet. "No!" He cries. "It's safer in there honey." Matthew grumbles. "B-But I don't want daddy to get hurt too!" Minjun shivers hiding between Matthew's legs. "Fine stay here then." He checks the guys pulse. "There is no pulse." He tells the dispatcher as she picks up. "Yeah it's.." Matthew says the address of their house. Minjun whines softly and runs back to the cabin crying. He was very scared. Matthew runs after him hanging up the phone. "Minjun!" He sees Minjun struggle to get under the couch since his belly in bunny form was very round. Minjun squeaks loudly kicking his back legs and flops down giving up. "Minjun..." Matthew sighs picking the chubby bunny up and kissing his belly. "The police will be here and investigate it ok?" Matthew sits on the couch and puts Minjun on his chest. Cinnabun was munching on some lettuce from her bowl and turned on the tv. She squeals seeing Max and Ruby. She flops on the floor watching the show. Minjun purrs falling asleep on Matthew's chest.

Minjun didn't get to sleep long when there was a knock on the door. Minjun looks at Matthew who is sleeping. Minjun turns into his hybrid form hiding his ears. He opens the door. "H-Hi.." he says shyly waving. "Hello, we are from the police department. Someone called about a body?" They say confused. "Ahh!" Minjun runs over to wake up Matthew."Dada the police are here." He says. Matthew gets up yawning and walks over to them. Minjun goes into their bedroom and turns back purring softly. Minjun comes downstairs with Matthew. The cops smile at the small bunny. Minjun hops following matthew to the body. "So my bunny was playing around here and I heard him squeaking so I went out and saw this guy here." Matthew watches Minjun hops up to the body and nudge it. The cops investigate and sigh. "We will send an ambulance to take them to the morgue. I suggest you two...or three." She sees Cinnabun hopping up to them. The cops pets the bunnies head. "How sweet." She stops petting Cinnabun and calls out an ambulance. "How about we go inside?" Matthew picks both small bunnies up. Minjun purrs nuzzling his chest. "Aww~" Matthew coos. Cinnabun yawns falling asleep. Matthew puts her on the couch and takes Minjun to their bedroom. Minjun jumps onto the bed and squeaks softly standing on his hind legs. "Aww~ you're so adorable my baby." Matthew coos petting Minjun's soft fur. Minjun looks around the bed and spots some cookies left on the nightstand. He runs over to them and grabs one purring. Matthew sighs. "Minjun, no cookies." Matthew takes them from him. Minjun pouts thumping his feet. "Baby boy it's too late." Matthew pets his head. "Dada!" Minjun squeaks turning back into his normal form sitting on Matthew's stomach. "Oof- Minjun no cookies ok? You have to go night night. I promise you can have them tomorrow." Matthew pats his head. Minjun purrs softly flopping besides matthew. "Good boy." Matthew holds Minjun in his arms tightly. "Nini~" Minjun purrs. Cinnabun pokes her head up at them and hops over to Matthew and tilts her head. "We're going to sleep little bun. Come here." Matthew scoops her up putting her on the pillow between him and Minjun. Minjun purrs sniffing Cinnabun's coat. Cinnabun squeaks softly facing Minjun and twitching her ears in excitement. Matthew turns on the tv since it was only 6pm but Minjun and little Cinnabun curled up next to each other purring away happily as they fall asleep for the rest of the day.
