40 Seconds

Hey.

This rant won't be too... Rant-ish most than it's me getting something off my chest. *Try not to breath anything in, it may be toxic...* 

So, this sin't angry more than disappointment...

I sound like a parent, oh well.

Every 40 seconds, someone kills themselves.

Think about that, just for a second.

In the time it took you to read this, someone felt that they weren't good enough to exist anymore.

Someone who might've stayed up the night before, to jeep someone else from doing the same, or perhaps they left behind the cure for a fatal disease.

Maybe they left nothing but a blog or the one friend they had, but it's going to affect someone, somewhere.

Suicide isn't something that someone has a bad day and decides to maybe end the fact that they're going through heart break because they broke up with their other half, it takes years of pain and misery to decide that nobody will care if they died.

And it's preventable.

It doesn't need to happen.

If people decided that they didn't care that that one girl was wearing a band tee, ot that that one guy wore pink or that that one person was transgender.

If it doesn't hurt anyone, don't make it lethal.

But every 40 seconds, someone left someone, something, anything... Because they didn't feel worth it.

But what they don't know is that even if their family makes them feel like crap, a friend will stay up all night crying.

Or if they don't have friend and it seems everyone hates them, their sibling may become so depressed that they isolate themselves.

I've grown up knowing about suicide, my Aunt committed suicide and my mom still remembers her, my sister still hangs photos of her in her room, we still celebrate her birthdays.

You are remembered, you will be remembered, it get's better.

I'm just saying, if you find out that one of your friends or even someone you see on the internet or anyone, if you find out that they're depressed or self-harming or suicidal, talk to them, or direct them to someone who can.

You can make 40 seconds, to 50... 60.. 70.

Hopefully, someday people will take their head out of their butts and realize that if someone likes something or looks different or something that it's not worth killing for.
