Springtime Familiar Summoning. It's an anual event where the first year students of Tristain Academy. In this event the students use the summoning ritual to summon trusty companions beyond time and space.
This ritual is of course supervised by a teacher. This teacher is a powerful fire mage, though the students are unaware of his power, Jean Colbert.
