The sounds of guns being loaded echoed throughout the safe house, all of them gearing up for what seemed like a war. Besides the noise of the guns and the occasional order, it was silent. Almost as if everyone was waiting for a bomb to go off.
Jungkook had spent three hours with Mathew trying to figure out which mill Tokko Hyo was keeping her son hostage. "It's got to be this one." Mathew said after a moment, circling a mill on the map. It was close to town, like they'd predicted the woman would stay, but isolated enough nobody would know there was something going on there.
"Yeah, all the other mills are located in places with large groups of people living nearby." Jungkook agreed, standing up straight and crossing his arms. He let out a sigh, running his hand down his face. "This is gonna be a long night." He mumbled.
The blonde looked over at his tech specialist's screen. 9 hours and 47 minutes remained until all of the cameras were shut off. He knew they needed to move quickly so they could still have eyes on the inside. "Alright, let's do this."
Jungkook picked up his hand gun, checking the magazine was full before putting it in the waistband of his jeans. Slowly he looked at Mathew, who was putting on a bullet proof vest. "You could lose your job for this, you know?" The younger male stated.
Mathew scoffed. "I wouldn't be here if I cared about my fucking job. I care about him." He replied pointing toward a section of the big monitor that showed Taehyung. The brunette was unconscious on the floor, his clothes torn and hanging low in some areas. "He's like a son to me. That's more important then a damned job."
Jeon nodded at the older male, showing he respected his decision. "Alright, let's go then." One by one, police officers and gang members left the safe house and went to their cars, rapidly pulling out of the parking lot and speeding down the roads toward the mill. The officers blasted their sirens to make their journey effortless.
With each passing moment Jungkook grew more anxious, wondering if they'd be too late to rescue the boy he'd grown attached to. Despite being younger, he really did admire Taehyung and his bravery. No normal or same person would have responded so casually to being told the person they're talking to is a Mafia boss.
Albeit, it was part of Tae's job to get close to Jungkook, the blonde still admired the brunette. 8 hours and 57 minutes remained on the cameras, urging everyone to drive faster.
Meanwhile, in the mill Tae slowly started to regain consciousness. Groaning he sat up, leaning against a wall. Blood dripped down his forehead, his bones and muscles aching and burning like fire as pain spread through his body.
After his mother left, her men had their way with his body in more way then one. A strike to the head with a baseball bat was the last thing he remembered, not that he wanted to remember everything that had happened that night.
His hands were bound with rope after he'd almost tore through the duct tape. Rope burns started to appear the more he struggled with the binding. How he wished he was dealing with a homicide or robbery right now, but instead was tied up, quite literally, in mafia business and his mother's psychopathic games.
A whimper left his mouth as he tried to make himself somewhat comfortable in the cold, dusty store room he was locked in. 8 hours and 36 minutes remained on the cameras.
"Please...someone..." he whispered, his eyes slowly closing once more. "Help..."
10 minutes away from the mill, Jungkook and his gang pulled up. One by one they jumped out their cars and gathered everything they needed. The blonde stood on top of his car, gaining everyone's attention.
"What we're about to do, has never been done under my name. I do not condone killing or anything else in that nature. However, tonight is different. An innocent person has been caught in the crossfire." He called out.
Mathew nodded, looking at everyone. "We will do everything we can to make sure this gets swept under the rug if word gets out."
Nobody said anything, silence overlapping them. It was a dangerous mission, there was no doubt about it. But after seeing how much the boss cared about the hostage, they were willing to do anything.
Stealth was key, they did not want to trigger any alarms or notify anyone they were there. It was a simple get in, get out. "Hold on, please hold on." Jungkook whispered under his breath as they got closer and closer to the compound. On the door entrance was two guards. Nobody was patrolling, most likely switching shifts.
After the blonde gave the signal, two silent shots struck the guards. Ten seconds passed before they all silently ran toward the door. Quietly Mathew opened the door, a slight creek being the only noise that could be heard.
"Whoever finds him first, get him straight to the cars and go. Do not wait." Jungkook made the next signal for groups and a pair to split off, all together totalling three with seven people in two, eight in one, with Mathew and Jungkook going off together.
Back at base, the people left behind watched the remained cameras. Seven hours and 43 minutes remained. "Come on, boss." Freya mumbled, biting her lip anxiously. She couldn't see two of the groups, only spotting one group and Mathew and Jeon.
Said males soon came up to a door, seven hours and 10 minutes remaining. The two locked eyes, taking the safety off of their guns before Mathew ripped open the door. Swiftly, they ran in, checking every angle before finally checking if anyone was in there.
However, the signal was lost on all the cameras. The two opening that door had triggered something in the system and completely shut down the cameras. "No, no, no!" Freya yelled, furiously tapping away at her keyboard to try and get the cameras back.
Taehyung opened his eyes, hearing a door opened. A soft groan escaped his lip. "Having you already damaged me enough?" He called out hoarsely, his eyes dropping. Jungkook heard Taes voice and holstered his weapon, running over to him.
Gently, the blonde cupped the brunette's cheeks. "Hey, Tae, look at me." He said softly, prompting Tae to open his eyes again.
"J-Jungkook?" The brunette whispered. "Is that you?"
"Yeah, it's me. Looks like we meet again." The blonde attempted a joke, which brought a tiny smile to the boys face. "Listen, we're gonna get you out of here." He looked back at Mathew who walked over and knelt down."Hey, kid." The older male said softly before gingerly picking up the bruised and battered male. Taehyung whimpered slightly, eyes screwing up.
Soon enough the other groups reached the room, noticing the two had already made it to the hostage. "Let's go." Jungkook ordered, and within minutes they were all escaping the same way they came. It all seemed to easy, especially when they'd reached their cars without seeing anybody.
Jungkook brushed it off though, knowing Tae needed medical attention. Still, he couldn't figure out why he felt so uneasy about the rescue mission.
It was too easy.
