Avatar Timeline.

Key Words: B.A.W- Before Avatar Wan. A.A.W- After Avatar Wan. Note: I'm not using the Air Genocide as the key date but I felt like doing something different to measure the timelines.

100,000- B.A.W: The Planet takes shape. The first signs of life emerge.

90,000-B.A.W: Lion Turtles rule over the Grassland Planet.

85,000-B.A.W: Spirits begin crossing to the Physical World. Form a great peace with the Lion Turtles. Animals are also created at this time.

80,000-B.A.W: Humans emerge from the ground forming small tribes. Some are gifted bending of the elements by the Lion Turtles.

70,000-B.A.W: Darkness falls throughout the Physical World as the Dark Spirits emerge. They are led by the King of Shadows. The 20,000 year darkness begins. Seeing this threat. The Spirits and Humans prepare for an all out invasion.

50,000-B.A.W: Lion Turtles are almost driven to extinction. The King of Shadows is finally deposed. As a result of the unending war and destruction. The Oceans begin to emerge. 

20,000-B.A.W: Humans form more diverse societies. Creating new civilizations. One of these being the Tusok Empire. An empire dedicated to the teachings of darkness.

19,975-B.A.W: The Tusok Empire collapses. However the tensions between Spirits and Humans escalate.

15,000-B.A.W: The Spirit Human War is launched, largely influenced by a Dark Spirit named Vatu believed to be the King of Shadows desendant. The spirit of Light Rava also emerges. Spirits win the war and the humans are forced to flee to Lion Turtles for protection. 

10,000-B.A.W: The first Harmonic Convergence is recorded. Rava and Vatu fight for the fate of both the Physical and Spirit World. Winner takes all.

0- Age of Avatars begin. The hero Wan merges with Rava to become an Avatar and imprisons Vatu in the tree of time. The Age of Wan is declared with Wan sending the Spirits back to their world believing that humans and spirits are not ready to connect fully as of yet.

100- A.A.W- Human Culture emerges. Nations begin taking shape throughout the world. The Air Cult, The Water Clan, The Earth Kingdom, and the Fire Isles.

1,000-A.A.W- The Se Wong Empire emerges from the Great Desert. It becomes rich in economics, architecture, and science.

2,000-A.A.W- The Air Cult claims vast uncharted isles. The construction of the Air Temples begin. 

3,000-A.A.W- The Air Cult is unable to adapt to the growing world and after massive revolts and civil unrest, the disband becoming nomadic. The Air Nomads are established.

3,600-A.A.W- Said by many to be the beginning of the Dark ages of Human history. A faction of Dark Waterbenders splits from the Water Clan forming the Cult of Blood (Bloodbenders) around this time The Se Wong Empire engages in a Cold War between them and the growing Earth Kingdom. The Earth War begins.

4,000-A.A.W- The Earth War ends in a draw, but due to political instability and corruption, the Se Wong Empire collapses. The desert never recovers. All that is left are the sad ruins of Sand Benders. 

4,550-A.A.W- The Cult of Blood claims the South Pole. 

4,687-A.A.W- The Water Clan begins taking the name of the Water Tribe.

4,998-A.A.W- The Cult of Blood launches a massive attack against the world. Many people from all nations are murdered as a result. This day becomes known in history as The Bleeding Solstice. It holds the record as the bloodiest day in Human History.

5,000-A.A.W- The Cult of Blood is destroyed and some flee in secret. The South Pole is abandoned. 

6,000-A.A.W- The Earth Kingdom completes the annexation of the Continent.

7,000-A.A.W- The Fire Isles are reorganized into the Phoenix Kingdom.

7,010-A.A.W- The Phoenix Wars begin an attack on the Water Tribe.

7,023-A.A.W- Air Nomad Avatar Mei Leing is found mysteriously dead in the North Pole, the next Avatar (Riddick) is born.

 7,045-A.A.W- Riddick becomes a commander for the Water Tribe armies leading them into battle. The Phoenix Kingdom is pushed out of the Water Tribe. But after witnessing so much death and destruction and living with the knowledge the Avatar was used as a weapon for war, Riddick attempts to kill himself in the Avatar State ending the cycle. But he fails.

7,050-A.A.W- For his attempted suicide, Riddick is labeled the Forgotten. The Phoenix Kingdom continues it's campaign against the Earth Kingdom as well.

7,125-A.A.W- The Phoenix Kingdom collapses and the Fire Isles are reorganized into the Sun Empire. The Water Tribe, not satisficed with the results seeks retribution. The Retribution Wars begin.

7,180-A.A.W- The Avatar born to the Fire Isles Avatar Mako ends the war and dissolves the already weakened Sun Empire.

7,185-A.A.W- Avatar Mako creates the Fire Nation with Mako becoming the first Fire Lord.

8,000-A.A.W- The South Pole is recolonized.

8,100-A.A.W- The Southern Tribe fights for Independence. The First Water Tribe Civil War begins.

8,150-A.A.W- The War ends in a Southern Victory.

9,586-A.A.W- The Cult of blood resurfaces, The Great War of Water begins.

9,590-A.A.W- The Cult of Blood is wiped out and peace returns to the world.

9,643-A.A.W- Qin the Conqueror declares the Qin Empire on the Earth Continent thanks to the weakness of the Earth King.

9,650-A.A.W- Kyoshi Island is created after Avatar Kyoshi kills Qin.

9,664-A.A.W- The Earth Kingdom finally recovers.

9,714-A.A.W- The age of Avatar Roku begins. 

9,745-A.A.W- Fire Lord Sozin begins the colonization of the Western Earth Kingdom by taking Earth Kingdom territory.

9,800-A.A.W- Avatar Aang is born as Sozin readies the Fire Nation for war.  

9,812-A.A.W- The Centennial Comet is renamed Sozin's Comet. The Fire Nation uses the power of the comet to launch the Genocide of the Air Nomads. Aang goes missing and the Hundred Years War begins.

9,912-A.A.W- The Avatar returns having been frozen in ice. The Fire nation is defeated and the Rebel Government under the Exiled Prince Zuko take control.

9,937-A.A.W- The Fire Nation Colonies are reorganized into the United Republic of Nations. With its Capital being Republic City.

9,982-A.A.W- The Age of Avatar Korra begins. 

9,999-A.A.W- Korra defeats the Equalist Rebellion. Around this time tensions begin again between the Water Tribes.

10,000-A.A.W- Vatu breaks free of his prison. Korra defeats Vatu and for the first time in 10,000 years Spirits connect with Humans again. Airbenders also return. The Earth Kingdom collapses at the hands of The Red Lotus.

10,003-A.A.W- Kuvira an ambitious Dictator creates the Earth Empire. Korra defeats the Earth Empire and a new Spirit Portal is created inside Republic City.
