Eduardo wandered around the neighborhood, looking in every alleyway and behind every bin. He must've spent hours searching blindly for the smaller man.

"Jon! Jon! Where are you buddy?" Eduardo called out. He could feel more panic settle into his stomach as he started to slowly sober up. "Jon?" Eduardo sighed. He would have to ask his neighbors for help.

Eduardo approached Edd, Tom, and Matt's front door, and knocked hastily on the front door. Before Edd could even ask 'hello?' The taller man began to ramble.

"Have you seen Jon!?! He's missing! I don't know where he is! Please!"

"Calm down, Eduardo! I'll ask the others..." Edd replied, walking away from the door only to reappear a moment later. "Tom says he may have seen someone walk that way."

"Thanks...Edd..." Eduardo said before running off, continuing his journey to find Jon. He could feel his phone buzzing crazily in his pocket, probably from Mark, but he didn't care. The only thing he could think about was Jon. Jon, Jon, Jon.

Eduardo continued to call out the smaller man's name desperately, wandering around the town. It had been hours before he gave up, and wandered to the park and flopped down on a park bench, sighing heavily as he put his head in his hands. He felt a hot, salty tear fall down from his face. He almost got up to leave, until he saw a small shadow leaned up against a tree. Eduardo knit his eyebrows.

"Hello?" He asked, getting up from the bench to approach the shadow. Realization hit him. "Jon?" He looked up, and stared at Eduardo. Of course Jon would be here! How could I forget that he loved the park?!?

"E-Eddie? What are you doing here?" Jon asked. Eduardo sighed in relief and got down onto his knees, wrapping his arms tightly around Jon.

"Oh Jon, I was so fucking worried," Eduardo said, petting some hair away from Jon's face.

"I'm sorry..." Jon whimpered. "I just heard you and Mark fuh-fighting, and I thought you didn't want me around anymore."

"No, no, Jon, I-" Eduardo pursed his lips. "I was just drunk and scared. Scared that you weren't ok. I'm the one that's sorry." Eduardo squeezes Jon a little harder before pulling away. "Let's go home, Bud."

Eduardo got up and dusted himself off, before grabbing onto Jon's wrist to help pull him up, but Jon pulled away with a hiss of pain.

"Jon? What is it?" Eduardo asked. Jon shook his head.

"It's nothing," he replied solemnly, trying to get up with his crutches, though, Eduardo stopped him.

"Show me your arm, Jon," he said, both soft and stern. Jon whimpered slightly and shook his head. Eduardo didn't take that as an answer.

He knelt down beside Jon and nimbly took Jon's arm into his hand and pulled up the sleeve. He gasped.

"Oh, Jon..." Eduardo breathed. He softy traced his finger over one of the scars on Jon's wrist, making him flinch a little. "Sorry! Just..." Eduardo didn't know what to say, and just pulled Jon in for another hug, letting him cry in his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

"No, no, shh. It's ok Jon," Eduardo said softly. "Come on, it's late. We should get home, ok?" Eduardo lifted Jon up in his arms, holding him bridal style while Jon clutched his crutches tightly. Jon had always been thin, but he had gotten skinnier from the hospital. Maybe from all the sleep he'd been doing.

Eduardo felt Jon cuddle against his chest as he walked them home.

"Jon?" No reply. Eduardo looked down to see the man fast asleep, and smiled slightly to himself. After a while he made it home, knocking on the door with his foot.

"Jesus Eduardo I was so fucking worried! Why the hell weren't you answering your-"

"Sh!" He interrupted, referring to Jon. Mark shut his mouth and followed Eduardo to Jon's room, watching as Eduardo laid him down with such delicacy that he'd never seen from him before. Eduardo gently pulled the crutches away from Jon's arms and leaned them against the bed's headboard.

"Do you love him?" Mark asked softly as they exited the room, putting a hand on Eduardo's shoulder. Eduardo scoffed.

"What? No! I'm not a f-" Eduardo groaned, his face softening. "Yeah... I think- I think I do." Mark smiled warmly to his roommate.

"You should go to sleep, now, Eduardo. It's pretty late."

"Yeah, you're right..." Eduardo agreed, but he didn't go to his room. He slipped off his coat and jeans and snuck into Jon's room. He might've been crossing boundaries, but he didn't really care right now. He just wanted to protect Jon and hold him in his arms.
