they can be hidden under our beds
or simply tucked away in our heads
they dont mean big and alien
they can be small and within
all the fear of childhood or all the pain of the real world
the explanation is not important
but our reactions and ways to vent
can be the thin cord to end

but the scariest of all is the things with more possibilities
the realistic situations far fetched but within reach
can hurt us more than the regrets we wish could be

i cant fight them im not that tall
but then again we cant win them all
