And I'm the pen
*Dear Maria, Count Me In- All Time Low*
Hello, I’m Maria, and this is my story.
“Maria” I hear as my mom, Paula, calls me from my slumber. “Maria!” my mom calls again this time much louder.
“Yeah!” I yell sitting up in my bed.
“Get up or you’re going to be late!” She yells.
”Ugh!” I say to no one in particular, but I get up and out of bed. I undress then grab my towel to go to the bathroom and take yet another cold shower. I turn the water on and get in letting the cold water hit my back, I wet my hair then grab the shampoo to wash it, by the time I am done with my shower, I am freezing. I reach for my towel and wrap it around my shivering body.
“Maria, hurry up!” my mom screams, urging me to go faster.
“I’ll be down soon!” I call back. I run to my room and grab my underwear, jeans, sports bra, and long-sleeved shirt. I grab my backpack and run out of my room into the kitchen.
“Maria Carlita Valdez! Get you butt to the kitchen this…!” She screams.
“Instant, I know mother, how has your morning been” I say as I look around the kitchen and see opened beer, rum, and vodka bottles. “Eventful, I see” The disgust clear on my face.
“Don’t you dare look at me in that disrespectful way missy! You will treat me with love and respect! I’ll be…!” She starts to raise her voice.
“Yah, yah, you’ll be damned if I treat you like that ever again, blah, blah, blah. It’s all been said before, gotta go!” I yell running out the door.
“Maria!” my mother warns as I run away.
“Bye, Love you, gotta catch the bus.” I say running away. “Finally.” I say under my breath as I walk down my street. When I get to the bus stop, I stand there and wait alone, as usual.
When the bus finally arrives, I board and go to my usual seat in the back of it and sit there for about 45 minutes waiting for other kids to board. The bus finally pulls up to my school, Mournary Fritzger Public School, their motto, “There is a place for everyone” I say yeah right, never in a million years will there be a place for everyone anywhere, much less that school. Let us fast forward to the cafeteria part, where you get a hint about the long sleeved shirt, where we meet Natalia and Valentina. As they say, every blonde needs a brunette best friend. Natalia, the blonde, is a very outstanding student to say the least, she is a teachers pet, and she is basically president of all the clubs at the school, and her boyfriend is captain of the football team, I know, just like the movies. Valentina is the brunette who is so stupid that she can’t even do two plus two, the only reason she passes is because she ‘’pays’' guys to do her homework for her. Anyways, back to the story, I grab my tray at the beginning of the breakfast line and go through. By the time I have finished in the line, I have eggs, hash browns, sausage, and a milk carton. I go sit at my usual seat, alone, on the cement, by the dumpster.
I finish my breakfast and go to the bathroom with my toothbrush, when, I get there, I open the door and look around. When I know its all clear, I head into the third stall, lock it, and get on my knees. I grab my toothbrush from my pocket and put it in my mouth, I push it to the back of my throat to the spot, and apply pressure. Before I know it, there is chunks of regurgitated food running up my throat and into the toilet. “Blech! Cough! Cough! Cough!” I respond to the chunks. I stand up, wipe my mouth off, flush the toilet and open the door to see Natalia and Valentina standing there laughing.
