Queen Serena looked behind at her subjects. They were afraid and terrified. For thousands of years, the Otherworlders had lived amongst the humans in peace and harmony. That was until the Black Moon rose.

It exposed the Otherworlders for their true forms; some scailed from head to toe and others 8 feet tall with pointed ears and beautiful faces. Humans, afraid and repulsed by these beings, began driving them into extinction. All of the magic in the world didn't just begin disappearing - it was being driven away. Killed. Slaughtered. Destroyed.

The Otherworlders followed behind their Queen. Some marched. Some flew. Some slithered. Others were carried. They had to move quick, for they were the last of the Otherworld. It had been exactly 6 months since the Black Moon rose and set. They had to make it to the ruins of the First Settlement before the night's moon hit its peak, as the Black Moon would not rise again for another millennia, closing the portal for another thousand years. If they were too late, they would be found and slaughtered by the humans. The First Settlement was their last hope - their salvation.

It was a race to First Settlement between the Otherworlders and the humans.

The Otherworlders were peaceful beings - selfless and benevolent. They ran, as they refused to fight and kill. They were the complete opposites of the humans who were vile and vicious creatures. They chopped off the wings of the Fair Folk. They sawed in half and severed bodies from tails of the Mer Folk. And now they were coming after the Otherworlders' grand ruler's, Queen Serena's, head.

In great numbers, the humans ran to the ruins of the First Settlement. Torches and swords in hand, they were ready to kill. But that fateful night, the final race to the Last Settlement, the humans didn't need weapons because they were too late.

Under the last Black Moon, in the ray of light that shone into the heart of the First Settlement, the Otherworlders escaped into its power, returning them back to their home realm - the Otherworld.
