My name is Estella you may think I'm a normal person but I'm not. I have a gift to read to read stars this may sound stupid but trust me I'm not I can read stars that give me warning signs so I can be aware of the future and it did happen! I live in a house on top of a hill I can have a good look of the stars the glimmer in the night sky sometimes I even see shooting stars if I'm lucky enough. I live with my mum and only mum. I sat next to the window. Glorious, heavenly light shone through the light, whispy clouds, signifying a new day. They parted, presenting a beautiful sky beneath. It was mesmerizing, how simple it looked, yet it seemed to hold every one of our thoughts, our dreams, our secrets. The space was a vast thing, stretching out for infinity over our heads. We are insignificant creatures, being embraced by the forever moving expanse over our heads. It was terrifying and yet affectionate, seeming like it could swallow you up whole, but also like it could hold you and whisper words of comfort. It was amazing, almost magical. If you stared at it for a long time, watching the clouds come and go, the sun setting in a magnificent flourish, you would think, maybe, it was talking with you. It was communicating in a way that it would seem like it was yelling when the striking lightning came and the thunder rattled the earth, it was smiling and speaking softly in the first rays of dawn, and it showed off its infinite beauty in the night, when the glittering stars came out of their curious hiding spots and winked at you. And ignorant people only say, 'it's only the sky.'
On December the 9th I will never forget this day the day I realised something wasn't right I laid down outside on moist grass leaving my white dress wet but I didn't care I was so mesmerised by the stars like something was calling me in the night sky I was so attracted to the night sky. The vast, seemingly empty, space was filled with glittering, diamond like stars. Each twinkling star seemed to be in its proper place, filling empty spaces. I was always an over thinker, I always felt like there is something more to this universe leaving plenty of night sky left to be undiscovered. My mum once told me "A person who values you, wouldn't ever put themselves in a position to lose you." And hit me deep like the titanic sinking in the deep ocean left to be undiscovered. However this was not the case. I always loved astrology and wanted to become a astronaut or a astronomer. I wanted to study the stars. I learnt in books how to study the stars, constellations, zodiac signs and what images you can see in the constellation. I was a book worm for astrology and I had a great passion. This day however dawned on me. I was observing the night sky until I saw something strange it was a constellation shaped as a skull I was confused was this a sign? I have to admit I am superstitious person and I would believe in anything especially signs. My eyes opened I was more awake in the night then in the morning. I had an uneasy feeling like something was wrong, I felt sick. I ran back home, it was 1 minute away. I got my key and unlocked the door the key jingled trying to unlock the door as I was in terror. I heard crying and screaming and made me worry even more. "MUM ARE YOU ALRIGHT!", I screamed. I was in a state of shock I couldn't move, the stars was giving me a warning sign I knew something was wrong. I finally opened the door as it slammed back to the wall making a loud banging sound . "Dad...I-..is gone", mum cried while stuttering. I was frozen bursting out in tears my eyes were wide open. I never seen my mum like this.
