They were fighting again. My Parents.
They seemed to do this every morning now, they even slept in separate rooms. They would wake up, get ready, fight, and leave for work. The same routine every day. They work seven days a week to avoid seeing each other.
I see more of the house-elves than I do of my own parents. It's December 20 now which means that we will be setting up for separate Christmas plans. I will probably spend the morning with my Dad and then Mom will take me out for dinner. Usually, Christmas is a kid's favorite day of the year, but for me, it means arguing and my parents seeing more of each other than they usually do.
My mom is Charlotte Charles. She is from a long line of the Pureblood Charles family. She is an apparition examiner working for the department of legal transportation for the Magical Congress of the USA. She is really proud of her job because it means that she makes so many connections in the wizarding world.
My father is Arthur Picquery, from the famous pureblood Picquery family. One of my distant relatives was Seraphina Picquery, the former President of the Magical Congress of the USA. My family is very well known because of her and because of the wealth that has been passed down through generations of Picquerys. My father is the head of the Nimbus Broom Company. I love my Dad's job because he has thought me all about different brooms and says when I get to school he will give me the latest broom that they are working on, even if it is not available for sale yet.
I love flying, and quidditch. My favorite team is the Sweetwater All-Stars. They are my absolute favorite team and I went to one of their games with a house-elf as a present from my Dad. The game was absolutely amazing, they beat the Fitchburg Finches, another team from the U.S which qualified them for the North American Championships.
My parents meet when they were attending the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. My father was sorted into Thunderbird and my Mom was sorted into Horned Serpent. They had gotten close during their last year of school when my Mom had volunteered to help tutor students in Transfiguration, which was her best class. They had gotten married 2 years after they graduated and had me the next year.
I guess my parent's relationship has really started going downhill since I was born because it seems like every year of their relationships just gets worse. I mean I kinda get it, how are you supposed to spend your whole life with your first boyfriend who you meet in school. It just doesn't seem like it would work for me.

I got up early that morning, who wouldn't, it was Christmas!
My Dad met me downstairs by the Christmas tree and announced that he and my Mom would both be together for the present opening this evening. Until then, we would play quidditch.
This was my favorite Christmas tradition. My Dad always got a few of his coworkers and their children together on Christmas morning for a quidditch game. Of course, I was a chaser, and my Dad was the beater.
We took the floo to my Dad's office where we would meet the rest of the teams and then we would walk down to the pitch that was outside my Dad's office. We lived in the suburbs of Maryland and there were lots of open space and concealment charms everywhere so we don't have to worry about any No-Maj's seeing us.
Each player got in a line and once they got to the front of the line they flipped a coin, heads on one team, and tails on another team until one team had seven players and the rest went to the other team.
My Dad is ahead of me in line, he flips tails and goes over to the team on the left. I step up and flip the coin. Heads, for the first time in three years my Dad and I are on different teams. This will be interesting.
