The Sun was shining, turning the blue sky into a beautiful color, The palm tree's were standing tall and looked as if god himself put those there on purpose. The sounds that surrounded the area, were ones of laughter and in the distance, you could even hear the waves crashing onto themselves as the water met with the warm sand. The smell was like nothing that i had ever experienced before. And here i was, sitting in a wicker lounge chair that faced the private pool. In my hands sat the novel that i found myself re-reading for the millionth time in the last year. I can't explain why, but i was drawn to these romances more than anything.

'Lizzy!' Ashley stood in front of the chair, blocking the marvelous heat. Sighing, my blue eyes went from the pages up to my best friend. "What ash?" I asked already knowing the answer. Ashley had the classic smirk on her tanned face. 'Can you believe that we both have our associates degrees? It's amazing!' she half shouted, before collapsing into the chair next to me. Ashley's smile was contagious, and i couldn't help myself but to smile along with her. Placing my favorite book onto the small table in between the chairs, i sat up and turned to face Ashley. We both worked our asses off, and got repaid with that degree. Of course, mine was in psychology, and my gorgeous best friend's was in Political science. You see, High school was an experience like no other, and I personally never want to relive that era of my life. But college, we shared the same dorm room and even though people thought we were strange, we buckled down to make sure we at least got that piece of paper.

Ashley is gorgeous and so smart. She has long black hair, that falls past her butt. Her green eyes always makes men stop and stare, her smile was something off of a dental commercial that made everyone around her take a hit to their own confidence. "I'm just thankful that your parents were sweet enough to let me come to Hawaii with you guys. Erm, i guess i should say, Im thankful that they have treated me like their third child." I say while looking at the concrete floor. It was true, The Andrew's have always been around in my life, since my mother and i moved to San Diego after my sixth birthday. Ashley and i met the second day after we began unpacking, it was by chance. My mother took me to the local supermarket and being the six-year-old child, i was curious about the other child i saw playing in the toy section of the store. So after making sure my mom was okay with it, I took my Teddy, walked over to the kid and decided to say hi. Little did i know, Ashley would become like a sister to me, her family becoming my second family. And her brother.. Well, that is a whole other story.

"You know you shouldn't be surprised, My parents love you. Shit. I think they would adopt you, if your mother would have let them." Ashley spoke while taking what was left of my water, and finishing off the small cup. "Anyways, Mum said get ready, we are going to a fancy dinner tonight. So dress like rich would." Ashley said while trying to hold back fake puke. She hated dressing up, she was that girl who had long black hair, beautiful geen eyes, freckles, and always dressed in her favorite bands tee shirt, with her matching skinny jeans and converse. The only time her mother was ever successful in getting ashley to wear anything more girly, was our prom. Ashley wore a black and grey ball gown, but she looked adorable!

"I guess i should head up to the room then." I say, while grabbing my book and towel. "See you up there." i let out before making my way back into the hotel. The architecture was beautiful, and you could tell it cost more than i would ever make. Hitting the up button on the elevator, i heard the ding. Walking into the elevator, i turn to the front, hit the number 10 as the doors were closing, a tan hand came inbetween the closing doors, causing them to open back up. Confused, i looked up only to be met with those green eyes. I felt my throat get dry, and my heart began pounding loudly. I hoped that no one could hear it. "Brax? What are you doing here?" I asked dumbstruck, moving to the left to allow him to stand beside me. I took a second glance and noticed that he was no longer the shaggy haired kid i grew up with, But he was now standing around 6 foot 3, he was wearing a suit and tie. That was unique, and that shaggy hair was now slicked back, and made him look more mature.

'Well believe it or not Needie, i'm here to celebrate with the family. No one thought Ashley would graduate high school, let alone receive an degree." His voice was deep, and caused the heat to rise up into my cheeks. Trying to look away before he noticed, i just nodded. Of course Braxton would come, this is his family vacation, i was just surprised, since the last time i saw was braxton was graduation four years ago. He left the next day for Medical school, and hasn't made much effort to come back.

"I'm sorry, i shouldn't have said it like that Brax. It's amazing to see you." I spoke while forcing myself to look down at the elevator floor. Before i could embarrass myself any more, the doors opened and i quickly made my way to the suite's door. Hearing Braxton say something, i turned around to see him with his phone to his ear. Swiping my card, the door beeped then open, I made my way inside then slid down the door, letting out the breath i didn't know i was holding in. How is it that even after years, he could still make me feel like this? How was that even possible? Braxton Michael Andrews, Ashley's older brother. He had been in my life since that fateful day too, and he is the only person that my heart has ever known. I had the biggest crush on him throughout middle school, but it only grew to become love when high school came. He never felt any type of way towards me, besides always that brotherly love, so i vowed to get over him when he left for college. Of course, my heart didn't listen... It was still rapidly beating, even with my left hand trying to make it slow down.

After a few minutes of calming down, I threw my book and towel on my bed, before going to the bathroom. My hair was a mess, and of course, i looked bloated when i ran into Braxton, 'Is he going to eat with us?' i wondered, if that was the case, then i wanted to show him that, the little girl he once knew was grown up, and i maturing. Pulling my blonde hair out of the messy bun that was piled on top of my head. I grabbed the brush and began detangling my hair. After an hour, i heard the door open and Ashley's voice broke the silence. "Are you almost ready? Mum is trying to make me swear some ugly ass pink thing." she spoke while making her way into the bathroom, where i had just finished pulling up the black dress that Her mother picked for me, over my chest. Turning i smiled at her reaction, she had an evil smirk on her face, I knew that face all to well. It was one that always got us into trouble. seeing my own reflection, i felt pleased with the way it turned out. My hair was curled, minimum Makeup was applied, i thought i looked good.

"You look amazing, are you ready?" she asked while fluffing out my curled blonde hair, I felt my tan cheeks turn pink and i just nodded. I was grateful for this girl that stood beside me, she always lifted up my self-esteem. "And, i know that you usually say no, But Lizzy, can we please go to a club tonight? I want to celebrate with my sister." she stuck out her bottom lip, while looking at me in the mirror. Maybe tonight, since we were on vacation, it would be good for us to go out and let loose? I've never allowed myself to go out, not even to a birthday party unless it was Ashley's. "That sounds great Ash," I spoke while looking at her reflection, She was wearing a gray dress, that clung to her body better than a model. She looked like a Kardashian, but with her Ashley charms. "Let's get this evening over with." She says, while we grab our things and head out for the family dinner.
