Ericsson's Military School

First Day

(Takes place in an alternate version in Done Running.)

Man: Name.

Gabe: Gabe. Short for Gabriel.

Man: Age.

Gabe: 17

Man: Hometown.

Gabe: New Richmond.

Man: Good. Just sign this and you can head to your room.

Gabe was sent to a military school after his hometown was attack and overrun by walkers. When he was alone in the woods, a group of survivors found him and told him they can take him to a place where he can be safe. He took the man's pen and look down to the place of paper. Then look back to the man.

Gabe: What's this for?

Man: This is to just show that we can trust you and that you will do what we said.

He write his name on the paper and put the pen down then got up. He pick up his bag and headed to the dorm rooms. He open the door and headed inside. There were 2 boys around his age. They turn and look over to Gabe.

Louis: Why hello there, you must be the new kid right?

Gabe: That's me.

Louis: I'm Louis, and this is my best friend, Marlon

Marlon: Hey there.

Louis: What's your name?

Gabe: Gabriel, but you can call me Gabe.

Louis walk over to Gabe and the 2 shake hands. Marlon walk up and did the same.

Marlon: It's very nice to meet you, Gabe. We were just about to head to the courtyard to meet up with our friends. You want to come?

Gabe: Okay, just let me put my bag away.

Louis: Sound good. We'll be by the picnic tables.

Both Louis and Marlon left the room. Gabe walk over to his bed and place his bag in top. He open his bag, then pull out a photos of his family. He took a good long look at it. In the photos was his dad David, his step-mom Kate, his uncle Javier, his sister Mari and himself. The photos was taken about a year ago with they are living in New Richmond. He put the photos away, and ahead out to find the others.

He made this way outside to the courtyard, there were about 20 kids. Over by the gates was 2 men, and 1 in the watchtower. He saw Louis and Marlon by the table and walk over to them.

Louis: There you are. Thought you forgot about us.

He sat down next to Louis.

Marlon: Gabe, this is James, Violet, and Clementine.

James: Hello.

Violet: What's up?

Clem: It's very nice to meet you.

Gabe: It's very to meet you guys too.

James: I heard your from New Richmond, is that right?

Gabe: Yeah.

James: I'm very sorry about what happened to your hometown.

Gabe: No worries.

Violet: New Richmond. That's the home from The New Frontiers.

Clem: I use to know The New Frontiers.
