Yes, this is another writing guide. There are plenty of them around. But I have a few things to say before we start.
Firstly, no one can tell you how to write. People can give you advice and suggest ways in which to do things. But everyone has their own methods, their own ways of going about things. Never take any writing guide as THE way to do things.
I write for a couple of blogs and for the literature section of my uni's student newspaper so a lot of the stuff I will share here may have originally been posted in other places. I'm using this as a way to sort of amalgamate all the writing tips/thoughts I have shared. I'm studying a degree in English Literature with Creative Writing so some of the things I share with you I may have learnt through this course.
Finally, I am not a professional. I am a 19 year old student. But I have been writing for 8 years and feel I have got to the stage where I have learnt enough to begin sharing my thoughts and experiences with others. I have a lot more to learn, and as I do I will share that with you.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you find at least some of what I say useful.
