My quote is:

The past can hurt. But the way I see it you can either run from it or learn from it.
-Rafiki, Lion king

Harry's POV
(In the past)

I remember the day like it was yesterday. The day I ran away from my first born child, James and my gorgeous wife. I just couldn't take the pain anymore, I was being destroyed on the inside to make this decision but, I had to go. I didn't know where I would go at first but, something was pulling me away.

However, I ran away for a reason. I didn't know if I could handle being a father because I had no father to show me how to do it. Also, don't worry I wrote Ginny a note telling her about my "trip."

~My Beloved Ginny~

"I don't know if I would be a very good father so, I'm going on a small outing. I will be back in four days max. PLEASE DON'T LOOK FOR ME I AM PERFECTLY SAFE!!"

~Yours Truly,
Harry~

I ended up going to the forbidden forest at Hogwarts to try and find the Resurrection Stone. I was back at Hogwarts where my first home was. Now I have a new home with my family and, I needed to find that stone. However, for the first two days I couldn't find it. Honestly it was a huge forest; I don't know how I expected myself to actually find it but, on the third day I did. I got to talk to my parents again. The only difference between this time and last was that Sirius Black and Remus Lupin were not there; this time I could talk to my parents alone.

When I picked up the stone at first nothing happened. Then when I had just lost hope of the powers of the stone working I felt them behind me. I felt a warm presence and, when I turned around I saw them, my mom and dad. This time they didn't look happy. They looked worried to see me as if they knew something was wrong.

"Harry, why would you run away from you family?" the silky, soothing voice of my mother had said.

So they did know what I had done. Well I guess what they say is true. Family never leaves not even in death. You know your family watching you all the time can be a little awkward if you think about it. I pushed that thought out of my head quickly. I was just so happy that I could talk to them and, this conversation lasted for a while trust me.

"Mum I had to, I was so nervous about being a father. What if I turned out like that lump of an uncle I have? He was the only "father-like-person" I had met until I turned eleven. I don't want to turn out like him," I replied.

My mum and dad looked shocked after i had said that.

"There is no possibility of you turning out like that. You have so much kindness in yourself. That is one of the many reasons how you are very different from your uncle. Another being, you my son are quite thin in the waste. Then their's your uncle who's.............." My father didn't finish his sentence because of a hard glare mum was giving him.

I thought about what he said for a while and, I sat down in the soft, dewy, grass. It was soft under my hands and, I remember the grounds were always like this in the mornings before school. Things haven't changed much since I've left.

After thinking for a minute about what I was going to say it just came right out of my mouth like i had drunk Veritaserum. "But Dad," I retorted, "I've had no one to show me how to be a father. How am I supposed to know what to do? Also with my job as an auror, I don't know what could happen to me. I could leave my little James fatherless, I don't know what will happen to me."

My father looked stunnned for some reaon I would ask about later if his expressions didn't change but, before he could say anything mum said,

"So, is that what you're really afraid of? That your child will be left with just a mother? Son, Voldemort is gone and, his followers are not much to worry about anymore. You need to let go of your past and think about theirs."

"Mum, I just can't let my only child have the life I did when I was younger," I said back to her.

My father said with the stunned look still clear on his face, "You named your child after me?"

"Absolutely, what else would I name my first child. His name is James Sirius and, if it was a girl it would have been Lily Luna." I told my parents.

"Harry, the past can hurt like yours did. But you can either run from it or learn from it. How about instead of running you learn. You don't want your child growing up without a father do you?" my dad asked.

"No, you're right I don't. I have to get back to them now," I said, remembering that I had only one day left to get back home.

"Remember, Harry, you can be a wonderful father; you just have to believe that you can do it. If it helps, me and your mother believe in you," my dad said to me.

"Just so you know," I replied, "what you just said means more to me than anything else. Thank you for believing in me and, thank you so much for all the advice, I really needed it."

Then I dropped the stone and apparated back home.

Future time

"That's what happened while I was gone I didn't leave out a single detail," I told Ginny.

She had been asking but, it wasn't until we had our third child, Lily that I told her. We have three beautiful children now. Their names you might ask are: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. I think I am a pretty good father if I do say so myself.

CRASH.......... that came from the basement.

"HARRY............"

Well looks like I better go see what's up.
