Acceptance

"No! No! No! Mom! I can't just move on already. How could you?", Lee Y/N screams as she was disappointed by her mom who was seeing another man to move on as she looks outside the window. Her mom Lee Sunmi screams, "It doesn't matter. You have to move on. I'm going to marry my boyfriend and be good when we reach there in a few minutes."

After a few minutes.

Her mom forces a smile, "You better come right now. Otherwise, I don't know what I'll be doing." Y/N turns away, "I don't care, mom. I'm not coming." Just then a young man around late twenties walked towards them and when he saw his girlfriend, "Hey, honey." Sunmi just smiles. He then noticed Y/N in the car and asks, "Isn't our daughter coming in?" Sunmi says with a worried smile, "She'll come soon. She just needs some time... I'm so sorry on her behalf, Chanyeol." Mr. Park smiles, "It's okay. Let her take her time." They went inside. Just then 2 boys come and look at Y/N. They insist her to come inside even if they didn't want to ask for it. She kept arguing she wouldn't come. One of the boys, "Why are you so as a baby? So stupid!" They both start taking the luggage while it started raining. Then another guy came running with some umbrellas and gave it to the two guys. He opened the door and asks her, "How long are you going to be there?? Come out. Mom and dad's worried."

Y/N felt annoyed the way they keep calling her to come out and finally accepts and goes with him. When she went inside, she felt eyes staring at her. She started to count and was like "23 stepbrothers?!", she shouts out not believing. "Why is there a girl in the family?", one of the brothers asks calmly and coldly. She eyes her mom but her mom ignores her. Her step-dad smiles and tells the boys, "Boys, start introducing yourself." They start introducing themselves. After a few minutes after all the introduction. Mom spoke, "Alright guys. Take time to know each other better. We both have some work. So, we'll be back in a few days." Y/N thinks I need to wait for a few days... Oh no, what am I going to do... With that mom and dad left the place. Some of the guys go to their rooms. Some stayed and asked if they could help with the luggage. Y/N gets flustered, "It's okay. I can handle it." The boys insist and help her to her new room and leaves after she thanks them.

After an hour.

Mark knocks on the door and tells, "Dinner is ready. Come down idiot." and leaves. Y/N sighs and goes down and everyone just stares at her and eats. She took the empty seat and starts eating. Johnny tells, "Honestly why did dad take a girl in the family. This is annoying. She must be a gold digger." YangYang tells, "I know right. She even made Xiaojun sick because she wouldn't come out of the car." Ten tells, "She is tactless. This is so bothersome. I just smell trash." Some other speaks badly about her too. She tears up because she doesn't want to cry. She fakes a smile, "I'm not hungry. You guys carry on. I'm going." She runs to her room and slams the door. She sits on her bed and starts crying. She thought What did I do to deserve this? Why... Jaemin screams annoyed, "What is wrong with you all? What did she even do that you have to bad-mouth her??" Doyoung sighs and defends him, "He's right. All she did was to eat and you guys start telling random stuff. Xiaojun is sick. I can see that very well. But still, you can't treat our sister like that. Jaemin, go and give her food." The boys just scoff and continue eating. Jaemin nods and brings her food and knocks on her door, "Y/N, please eat. Don't care about others. They're always like that." Y/N doesn't respond. He sighs and tells while opening the door, "Sorry but I'm coming in." He goes and sits beside her and keeps the plate on the bed. She looks up while still crying. He thought Why are they like this? It breaks my heart to see her crying... He hugs her and pats her back. She hugs him back still crying. He speaks, "Shh... It's okay. It's going to be okay. Calm down and please eat Y/N. I can't let you starve till tomorrow." They break the hug. Y/N thought Is he not like the others... He seems too nice. I can't be harsh on him just because others treat me like trash. She nods and eats. Jaemin smiles while she eats. He asks, "Can I ask how old you are?" She tells, "I'm 16. Why?" He smiles and tells, "You're the youngest of the family I see. Hehe." She nods, "I see..." and continues eating. After she finishes eating, Jaemin smiles and speaks, "Alright. Don't think too much and go to sleep. It's already late. We have school tomorrow." Then he took the plate and left.
