Every hero and U.A student at Eri's rescue are now present at the hospital to see (R/N) that was in the worst condition because of the fight with Overhaul in which he wasn't damaged by the fight but by the overuse of his quirk putting him into a rather bad condition

Everyone was waiting outside his hospital room when a doctor comes out of it

Izuku: How is his condition?

Kirishima: He will be alright, he has to be, right?

Uraraka: How bad are his injuries they won't affect him too much?

Riko: Alright everyone calm down.
I'm told you are in charge of him right Shota?

Aizawa: Legal guardian yes.

Riko:Well as you may know his Quirk is highly unstable but he has been able to control it to a extremely promising extent so far.

Aizawa: He has done his best and trained to become stronger.

Riko: Well his brain is very damaged.
And when I say damaged I'm referring to a psychological problem because of which he might lose it.
I've met my fair share of this kind of pacients.

Izuku: What are you talking about?
How hard will it be for him to go over this?

Riko: Well this psychological problem is treathening on his sanity and he might lose it because of past trauma and his quirk, well his quirks are helping degrading his condition.
In conclusion the harder he uses his quirks the worse his mental health will become on the other hand his body seems to endure more and more of this showing great increase in toughness and regeneration.
Something we call here "Grit" everytime he is at death's door but survives he will become stronger and stronger.

Aizawa: So you're saying we can help his recovery by keeping out of any situation that can overwhelm his mental health and giving him a reason to use his quirk more than needed.

Riko: Indeed Shota.
Well then you can go and see him but... You won't like what you see.

Everyone is guided inside by the doctor and soon filling the entire room facing the sad sight of (R/N)'s unconscious body connected to multiple machines

Krishima:Wait, you said his regeneration it's working very strong but then why is he unconscious still?

Uraraka: And connected to so many machines, why do you need them if his problem it's only psychological?

Riko:That's exactly the problem, his body it's working just fine no problem at all but the real problem it's his mind shutting itself down.

Tsuyu:You mean he's alive but not completely well, ribbit.

Riko:We are monitoring both his brain and other vital organs but his brain, I've never seen anything like it before.

Izuku:What do you mean, is it a good or bad thing?

Riko:His brain it's not working at all, acts exactly like it isn't there in the first place.

Nejire: Wait, this doesn't make any sense at all!
He helped, did his best, defeated the villain and survived with ease.
Then why is he still unconscious?

Mirio: He saved me and my mentor but paid the price because I wasn't strong enough to save anyone...

Amajiki: I didn't got the chance to thanks him, whatever he did before I got to fight the villains really helped me clear my mind and fight at 100% .

Nighteye:It was all because of me, I should've died there protecting them.

Ryukyu: It's no one's fault, we saved the girl and defeated the villains, we should not worry too much about him because we've all seen how strong he truly is.
