"You think I wouldn't notice how you were looking at me?" He asks, placing his hands on the wall on both sides of me.

"I- I wasn't, I wasn't looking at you." I say, my voice raspy.

"I don't believe you." He says, leaning so his lips are right next to my ear.  "But regardless, it's time to wake up." Suddenly his voice has faded into that of a girl's. I hear my alarm going off and jolt into a sitting position. I turn to my left and see Mariana standing there, holding my phone.

"Who were you dreaming about?" She asks, handing me my phone, her eyes playful.

"I- I wasn't dreaming about anyone."  I say, rubbing my eyes with the back of my hands. Swinging my legs over the side of my bed.

"Sure, tell that to your pillow. You were drooling." She says, shaking her head before turning around. She grabs her shoulder bag off her bed and heads to the door. "I'll see you at work later. I have some things to do before, but we're off at the same time, so I'll be back with you tonight." She explains, leaving the room.

After she leaves I get ready for the day by showering in our ensuite bathroom and dressing in black jeans and a black short sleeve shirt. They didn't mention any rules about clothes for the job, but I figure that all black is a good starter. I do some light makeup with a light green shadow on my eyes, to bring out the green in my hazel eyes. I pull my oxblood docs onto my feet, as they're the most comfortable shoes I own. It took me months to break them in, but they are my favorite shoes.

At 9 am, I leave my room to find the best route to my classes before they start next week, and to sign up at the welcome booth for some welcome week activities. I know I have to go to two because when I signed up for my University 101 class they told us we would have to write about the events for our first assignment. I end up deciding to sign up for the night at the astrology building to learn about some basic stuff and view the meteor shower going on. I also plan on going to the season bonfire, held on the soccer field the night before classes start.

When one forty comes around I get into my car and head to the bar, it is only about 10 minutes from the campus. I pull into the back alley of the lot and walk around the front to enter. I instantly spot Mariana and Greyson, standing near the actual bar talking. She places her hand on his upper arm and he moves her hair out of her face with the other hand. I don't know why but this action makes me pull back slightly. I shake my head and step further into the restaurant and bar, walking over to them and waiting for a break in conversation before making myself known.

"Hey, I was wondering where I should go, or what I should do?" I ask, looking between the two of them.

"You can just go to the back room where I interviewed you, and I'll be right over to help you." Greyson says, stepping back from Mariana. Smiling at me, gesturing to the break room door.

I nod and take my bag higher onto my shoulder before walking to the break room. I find a hook to put my bag on in the cubbies and lean against the wall next to them. I watch the door for a minute before stepping over to the wall to read the papers posted on the wall around the tablet hanging there. They list the daily specials and shift organizer with little notes posted by the crew next to them. I find my name on the schedule quickly and see that it says I am being trained for floor by Greyson.

"You're very cute when you're concentrating." I hear someone say behind me. I gasp and spin around, running straight into Greyson's broad chest. "God, if this is how graceful you are, maybe I should rethink my decision to hire you as a waitress." He says, chuckling as I regain my balance.

"I'm usually more graceful." I say.

"So I just put you off balance?" He teases, his hands still resting on my hips.
