His nose picked up the unique scent surrounding him.

He woke up with a jolt as he figured he wasn't at home.

Home, not in his vocabulary.

Rubbing the sleep off his eyes, he took in his surrounding carefully, observing each and every detail.

His thoughts were interrupted by the movement of something, or rather someone, next to him. Eyes widening, he observed the person who was soundly sleeping on the other side of the bed of this mysterious room.

A black haired girl. He didn't have to check whether or not they had sex. They didn't. He was wearing pants, she was wearing clothes.

It took a while before a wave of realization hit him. His hoodie. His shield.

He frantically searched around the room, getting out of the bed. It was not under the bed, nor anywhere on the floor. The room wasn't large enough for it to be hidden anywhere hard to find. He panicked as he couldn't find what he was searching for.

"It's in the bathroom." Spoke a breathy voice. His head turned to the mysterious girl who was already looking at him with an eyebrow raised.

He grit his teeth. "Why am I here?" Why did you take my hoodie off, was what he wanted to ask.

She scoffed, letting out a dry laugh. "You could at least spare me with a 'thank you' for my help."

He furrowed his eyebrows. What was she even talking about? Why would he thank her? It is her who should be thankful he hadn't hit her for taking off his hoodie. Something no one takes off.

She took in my confused expression and sighed. "You were bloody and unconscious on my doorstep, I had to drag you in here to clean you up."

He was even more confused. Why couldn't she just left him there?

had got into a huge fight yesterday, he remembered. They had promised to come after him and they did. They promised to haunt him for eternity, and they will.

He grabbed his dried up hoodie and pulled it over his head. No one sees my hair. No one sees my eyes. Yet, this girl has crossed those boundaries that he had set.

Kill her. A voice inside his head said. She knows too much.

He closed his eyes and went towards the window to get out.

"You're really not going to say 'thank you'?" The same breathy voice from before, had said. He heard her sigh. "Suit yourself." She said as she pulled the covers over her head, going back to her sleep.

Idle.

He jumped out of the window after muttering a soft "Thank you."

It had been said unwillingly. Everest doesn't thank people. Everest doesn't sleep at people's houses.

Yet, some unknown girl had seemed to clean his bloody self and provide him with the sleep he has not gotten for the past eleven years of his life. This mysterious girl had seemed to erase the nightmares which he had every night he closes his eyes.

He walked towards his destination, lost in thought about a peculiar black-haired girl who had seemed to catch his slightest interest.

Pink. The wall in front of the bed was painted in pink. It held the pictures of a girl and her family? Friends?

The wall to his left was painted blue. Blue like the sky, not one bit different. It had small shelves, and books stacked on top in such an order that shows shapes of clouds.

Lilac was to his left. The strangest it could be, it beheld nothing but an oval-shaped mirror. Plain and odd, yet alluring. Alluring in a way that he could not explain. Alluring in a way that it confined a dozen untold truths.

The wall behind him? It was the most frightening. Why, anyone would ask. The wall was plain white and only had one additional color. Red. One may ask, what was on the wall in red.

Multiple abrasions.

There were only three thoughts occupying his mind

She wasn't alright.

She seemed familiar.

Was she worth his worries?

Nevertheless, he figured that he would be seeing more of her around.

A sudden pain in his abdomen slowed down his walking pace. Sparks shot through his insides and he felt the very need to puke on the ground below.

He didn't care whether anyone was watching or not. He needed to get whatever it was, out of his system.

And there it came out.

In all it's vivid red glory.

Blood.

This wasn't new for Everest. Vomiting out blood was the least of his concerns. That is, if he had any concerns at all.
