Hello. First I would like to say that this is my first story I'm doing on Wattpad and that I'm not that big or a writer so if you see some errors or weird pacing, then that's probably why.
These characters don't belong to me, they belong to their respectful owners!

The weather was excellent in the morning hours of Pontypandy. Like all days, Fireman Sam is the first one to check in the fire station wearing his blue and black uniform.

A lead firefighter of the Pontypandy Fire Service, he is cool and collected at what he does best-- from putting out fires to saving Norman Price from one of his many bizarre ideas. One could say there isn't anything he's afraid to do.

Well, maybe there's one Sam can think of.

"Good morning Sam!" A female voice cheered behind him.

Just hearing her voice could make Sam leap in joy as he turned around to see Penny Morris in her uniform, his coworker and-- to him --the woman of his dreams. "Morning, Penny." He said with a smile on his face.

Sam is in love with her, however he tries his hardest to not show this feeling to anyone. He doesn't want to admit it, but the only thing that he's afraid of is confessing to her; the thought of Penny rejecting him and then destroying years of development of their friendship is what scares him. That's the last thing he wants. He just can't tell her how he feels, even if he wanted to from the depths of his heart. The fear in him is too great.

"I'm hope Norman Price won't start any of his shenanigans, I wouldn't mind a quiet day." Penny said, trying to start a conversation.

The ginger firefighter chuckled, "I hope so too."

The small talk stopped when they heard Elvis entering the building.

"Morning Elvis." Sam greeted as he walked in while Penny smiled and waved at him.

"Sam, Penny! Did you hear? A coastguard is coming to Pontypandy today!" Elvis said in excitement.

Sam mentally hit himself, he clearly have forgotten, "I guess my thoughts on Penny seem to have gone to the best of me."
"Oh, right! He'll be starting work at the Ocean Rescue Center."

Penny eyed in glee, "Wow, that's awesome! He'll surely be a lot of help to us."

"Well, they sure seem happy about it," Sam thought as he glanced over at them in delight as they chattered about the newcomer, "I might as well go tell Station Officer Steele that we're heading out to the Ocean Rescue Center later today."

"Alright everyone," He said, getting the attention of the two other firefighters, "Let's start our daily routine and then later we'll go on Jupiter to see him."

"Ok, Sam!" Elvis and Penny exclaimed as go on inspecting the fire station for supplies.

The lead firefighter can't help but give out the biggest smile as he glances over at Penny as she is carrying a hose to its proper place.
"I don't know how much more I can bottle up these feelings for her, but it's for the best of our friendship I suppose."

Apologies if the chapter is a bit slow and short. Expect another chapter coming soon, let me know what you think. ^^
